Not buying any clothes 2017

I need to buy a white blouse for a choir concert and have a Sainsbury voucher for money off petrol if you spend a certain amount on Tu clothes, so think I will succumb and spend some nectar points on this and a swimming costume.Grocery challenge 2025: £1154/1500 annual budget0

Also a wagon falling off to report - I bought a pair of slippers as they were sorely needed, I'm very hard on slippers- the upside though, is that they were £5 from tofs, instead of the £8 I thought they were going to be, and they're hard soled moccasins, so should last.0

another one who fell off the wagon this weekend. Brought fabric for a summer skirt and summer dress, as these items are sorely missing from my wardrobe.0

i put off the work trousers buying til last week, mostly cos they didn't have my size in, but luckily they did when last week walking into work I thought the crotch felt odd, to discover once there that they'd ripped between the legs! I had no choice but to work in them, desperately trying not to bend down all shift.
anyhoo, 2 pairs cost £28 and looking at other pairs I think i'll be better buying another 2 when my size (fat bird) is in.
the only other thing I've bought is a new beanie for aged P cos he's lost another one, I threatened to sew a string to this one to tie under his chin, similar to kids with strings on their mittens. he wasn't impressed with the idea

Yeah, but you don't have to launder and iron your memories of the fun you had going out, so it's still a win, yes?
Haven't bought anything apart from one coat and one pair of boots, secondhand in as-new condition and £9.50 in total. Haven't even wanted to buy any clothing or footwear, either.
I did 'find' a top I bought for 50p in 2016, laundered and put away and promptly forgot. Have been wearing it a lot these past few weeks, loving it, and picked up some compliments, so very happy with that.
Keep up the good work, lovely peeps.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Still going strong - have also decided to gradually do an inventory of the clothes I do have, which is quite fun. It should not take too long - even before this i was never an excessive spender and am the opposite of a hoarder although now I'm wondering if i should have held on to more items......0

Perhaps you'd like to do mine, if you have a spare Saturday?Wildernessgirl wrote: »Still going strong - have also decided to gradually do an inventory of the clothes I do have, which is quite fun. Shopped out of wardrobe this weekend. Taken out for dinner yesterday . Found a very nice skirt in the wardrobe and a matching jumper in the draw. Also wore a lovely expensive pair of shoes that I have had for a least 10 years . My legs first outing since Christmas:rotfl:
Decided to do the same today so have pulled out a matching skirt and blouse combo.0
