Hope the shop opening is all going to plan nmm, what kind of shop is it to be?

Did a bit of stitching on an angel bell pull I bought started at the car boot but I unpicked the small area that had been done as there We a couple of stitches in the wrong places and they did there crosses the opposite way round to me so I knew I'd forget and slip into my way and make it look off kilter. Iykwim
That has lots of gold and bkended filament thread in it.

Its going to be a computer repair/video games shop, if that fails my OH said I can open a wool shop, haha. Its going fine atm, the shop has no electric meter so have to wait till 16th March to get it installed, then the phone/internet on the 17th, so hopefully open not long after that. Look forward to updates on your bell pull.

Good luck with the shop, it's sounds just the sort of thing the men of my house would be interested in if we were near you.
I'm being fickle and have taken angel bell pull off the frame for the mo and I'm joining you in a wolf stitch. It's called spirit of the wolf, it's a kit I won a few years ago. One of ds1s friends sings under the name Wolfe Sunday so I think I may give it to him when it's finished. I will see as I've only started it tonight and I may be a while. Lol

Nice update on your wolf it's certainly gain in area since you last updated.

thanks mrs_mp, I can't see the different colours when i'm stitching the wolf, its only when I see a photo that I notice it. Is your spirit of the wolf the Kustom Krafts one? if so its lovely from the same designer as my Beautiful Dreamer.

It's a Chinese/Japanese kit the photocopy if the chart is quite basic and difficult to read but it's got dmc threads and nice quality adia, I'm going to have to unpick today as I miss counted a couple of rows. Grrr

Nice updated nmm and good luck with the shop opening, how exciting.
I've done a little more on the gingerbread trio - slow progress as I don't always have time at lunch to do any - depends what I'm eating (sandwich = ok, microwave jacket potato = no time).
No further progress on Collecting Shells - watched a movie on Friday night, out Saturday night, phoned my Dad last night - not enough time in the week! She will get finished eventually I'm sure

Hi all,
Hope you are all going well? I received the second of my "5 issues for £5" cross stitch crazy on Friday. For once there are a couple of really nice designs to add to the list.....
Gingerbread Trio is coming along - nearly finished the second of three gingerbread men but have a feeling I am going to run out of the colour for this - really frustrating as the threads are from an American company (Crescent Colours hand dyed floss) and I picked them up at Ally Pally a few years back. I wouldn't mind but I'm really stingy with it and use it until the needle won't move any longer!
Have purchased a Mothers Day card for this year - made them last year using nmm's design. No time to stitch them for this year. DH needs to buy his Mum's one - don't see why it should be left to me!!

Coxy, that's a shame about the floss, i'd contact the company and ask for some more, I ran out once as i'd done full X's instead of half, luckily it was DMC though.

Oops I forgot about mother's day *rushes off to find a quick stitch*
