  • They are yes i know one bank that charges daily fees of 75p-1.50 per day to use an overdraft depending on the overdraft limit.

Banks by the financial regulator have being asked to make overdrafts more transparent and easier too understand regarding the fee structure. Hence the introduction of daily fees rather than interest rates etc etc

    Hello Cumbria Lass,

I would split the £30 between the debt payments and the EF.

I too want to retire at 60, I cant imagine working any longer than this.
    Debt Jan 2017 = £42k
    May 2022 = £15k

The only thing I have not done on my list is put more stuff on fleabay , but that's because I haven't found anything else. I do have a bag for the charity shop though.

Shopping today was £27.28 in Mr A but bought the washing liquid on offer. Still more than I wanted , and £7.50 on GF stuff in Mr T . Will need to watch the shopping money this month .

Then disaster had to nip to sainsbos local for gravy granules for my Sunday lunch. I made 2 dinners one for tomorrow as well.
Car insurance renewal arrived by email today an extra £110 so won't be renewing it for sure . That's tomorrow's job.
    Had a pleasant BH so,far.

Paws thanks for popping in, will split the money as you say.

eBay sales generated about £10 I think so not much but better than nothing and PA is slow at the minute .

I called my current insurer to ask about them lowering the renewal quote, first of all she checked that's day price (?) and that came out the same and then she checked for discounts and said there weren't any so I told her to cancel the renewal and I would go elsewhere. I still think my renewal went up by £50 because I got cashback when I took it out.

I have 2 much cheaper quotes that are only £2 difference in price but one gives cashback and one doesn't.

I will sort this today as insurance ends tonight at midnight:eek:

Good luck with getting some decent quotes.

Thanks Eager Elephant have gone through topcashback , and got £30 cashback and paid £120 less than the renewal quote. Also got breakdown cover including home start for £20 through a Wowcher deal.

Have paid up front for car insurance for first time in a decade , it feels faboulous, of course EF has taken a hit but hey ho .
