Back home from weekend away .
Spent around £25 , took money from grocery budget as only had £10 left in entertainment one.
Shopping and petrol on the way home .
Mr A £15.14 , petrol £20.01 .
Completely skint now until Friday have about £10!left in purse. Out on Wednesday night , but it's a thank you meal from a friend so probably spend £2 on a drink .
Another month no credit card spends 9 months now .

Had a trip to Clarks outlet today to get DGS his school shoes, took me back years . Anyway mission accomplished £24 not so bad , his mum transferred the money to my account so I could buy them , as was doing her a favour getting them.
Normally they would have gone on a credit card , but as I have no money left in any pot apart from savings she transferred the funds no problem.
We did have a drink whilst we were out which was £2.20 for both of us. Played outside then on his bike for an hour before going home.
The gym for me later so just having a rest now, back to work tomorrow. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Have other people found this ?

Car insurance has gone up - the tax has changed I think. Can you call your current insurer and ask them to match this year's premium?Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k0

I am just about to renew my car insurance - my renewal has come in over £50 more than last year.
I have done a price comparison and can get it cheaper so will ring my current provider and see if they can match.
I'm wondering if they have put it up because I got £50 cashback last year for taking out the policy - or am I just being cynical??0 -

I found that ours had gone up a lot this year even though nothing had changed. I played on the comparison sites, reduced the mileage (I used to have a bigger commute) and did variations on job titles which got it down a bit. I have cashback tracked but count that as a bonus if it arrives. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Nice treat from friend last night, I paid for coffee after the meal. The end of the working week for me., plus it's payday tomorrow.
I will update my signature tomorrow but I think I have paid nearly £50 extra off smallest card all from PA surveys. Have not done any this week as been busy after work, but determined to try and make min £40 every month .
Car insurance is work in progress , not had renewal yet but just getting prices. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Payday.
All transfers done .
Debt reduced by £200 this month bit more than usual thanks to PA surveys.
Not as much happening social wise this month trying to keep it limited as going away for a few days end of September.
Just the car insurance , service and MoT as well this pay month. As I had new tyres in July and I only save £30 in car maintenance fund , I am going to have to use EF to go towards cost .
Can't see me paying car insurance in full this year even though I have it in savings in EF , It makes me nervous using the money , I like the comfort of £1000 in EF .
Am I being silly.?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
