Today has been ok with the children , I am so grateful they are in my life . When things look bleak seeing them makes everything worthwhile . I have been chasing appointments for my dad today, my parents are away and my dad has his biopsy on the 11th but today found out he needs a blood test before then . They don't get home until the 7th so a tight frame with the doctors but have managed it. Thank goodness for mobile phones .
My SOn in law still hasn't returned to live at home , he has been at his parents for some 2 months now , he comes everyday before the children go to bed but then goes back to parents. My DD tells me he is coming home soon , but you can't help but worry . However MH needs time and my DD is being amazing with him. Fingers crossed that it turns out right for everyone.
Went to Mr Ms today and bought GF stuff , I usually have salad for lunch but am getting bored with that so trying to vary it with wraps and pita bread . Spent £14.54 but should last a while. Got some GF cornflakes a £1 , crisps and GF bread as well as crackers.
Spent £5 on hat, scarf and gloves for DGD as well. Need to do a shopping list for tomorrow now .

Dgc do cheer us up don't they,I hope the situation with your son in law is resolved soon, like you say though things like this do need time to work through, its just awful to be watching from the sidelines and not be able to help
My DD has issues with anxiety and panic attacks,it's really weird because she is a no nonsense get on with it kind of person but these attacks come from nowhere and are sometimes caused by seemingly innocent situations,I hate it when it happens because I don't feel like I can help much really,I try to be there for her when it happens but there isn't a lot more I can do

  • I hope that the situation with son in law resolves itself soon, as it must be a worry for you. You are lucky to have your DGC as children are very good at cheering us jaded adults up :).

Have only just opened my post and had a letter from Bank of Scotland saying they are looking into my PPI claim . They give a date of the 16th March as a final date. I have no recollection of this loan having it or not . The loan was taken out about 10 days before moving from my marital home . I had taken over the mortgage in 2003 , but only given my ex £35000 . I had the house valued in jan 2007 at £110.000 so I was giving him another £15000 this was the divorce settlement. I took out a secured loan and remortgaged as I was still pretending to live on 2 wages so got into debt . I sold my house after the first viewing in the slump of Autumn 2008 for £115,000. I had a fixed rate mortgage and had to pay hefty charges for getting out of the fixed rate . After selling I would be left with nothing the sale price cleared the mortgage and secured loan. I took the loan out to pay the deposit on my rental property and furnish the house . All rhe bedrooms in the house we were leaving had fitted furniture and integral kitchen fitments . Not being very MSE I took a loan out . After 12 months of not sleeping I had around £10.000 of debt I entered a DMP. Anyway that's the history of the loan so no idea whether I read anything I just needed the money .
