Thank you Nicnak and Milann. Walked again to the beauticians, it is nice to be outside even though it is cold. There are things starting to flower , roll on Spring. Waxing done and I am home now to a lovely warm flat. It's still so light as well another plus , I must change my time switches to later. I spent another £4 in HB on tissues, kitchen roll , bananas and a card .

I looked at YNAB but couldn't get my head around it. I think you need a regular income or otherwise you can't use it properly, plus I think I would get on better with real pots rather than virtual ones. But you may get on well with it as many swear by it

Hi Cumbria - I'm glad you managed to sort out your dad's appointment. And I'm sorry to hear of you SIL's continuing problems. Your DD sounds like a lovely, patient caring person and I do hope things get back to normal for them all very soon. As others say, all you can do is be there for them.

It was cold today wasn't it, but very bright and sunny after yesterday's appalling weather. Amazing what a bit of sun can do for the spirits.
You can get a month's free trial with YNAB and there are on-line tutorials. I love it but if you are a bit of a whizz with spreadsheets you could probably knock up your own free version!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
