Garden centre was very good, it is humongous. Anyone living round Manchester will know where I mean. They do the hugest scones ever, sadly I can't have them.

Bought a Father's Day present and another Christmas present . Avoided buying anything for myself , well nearly bought 2 bunches of tulips £1 each.

Ironing done, need to make tomorrow's lunch. Update spends and that's it.

I would have bought the tulips.
    I adore them.

Hi Cumbria - finally catching up with you. You sound like you've been having some good times out with family and friends and enjoying the great weather.

I'll be interested to hear what the flat is like. Have to agree with the other posters though about the cost of private rented accommodation. Sounds very much what some of my friends' children have been paying out. This country definitely needs some affordable rental housing!

Hope work picks up for you this week and is not so fraught.

Flat to rent was dire, I live in a palace. Need to be happy where I am.

Been into Manchester today, love my city and very proud of the way the city has pulled together.

Low spend day, bus fare only took my own water and a apple.

Loving the weather, looks like it's here for a while.

It sounds like a very good decision to stay where you are Cumbria. Well done on not being tempted to spend at the garden centre and today :).

Just caught up with you and agree with HH that it sounds like a good decision to stay put. My DS and GF rent and it costs them a fortune when they move. We did a minute's silence for last year's tragedy in Manchester today.

Weather is fab here too, wish it would stay like this until Autumn.

Sorry about the flat, but no point in spending all that initial outlay unless it's really what you want. Was thinking about Manchester too today.

Dreadful nights sleep, fire brigade across the road at 3.30am to a fire alarm going off , false alarm for the people that live there , but were they noisy. Some nice hunky firemen though, couldn't sleep after that.

I hope I can get an early finish ! Going to be a NSD though 8 hope. Need to update my signature as well .
