Forgot to say gave hoover a really good clean and found a bit I do kmow was there full of dust and hair . Cleaned it all out and it's now working perfectly. Glad you got the hoover sorted. If it breaks again I can recommend Henry Hoover (brilliant but very heavy) and Shark (which is also brilliant but very lightweight) - I'm greedy and have both!
