Definitely a spending day today , weekly shop at Aldi , hoping no more than £20 . Need to make more soup for the freezer.

Car needs a good clean and I am on a free clean at the local car wash so will make use of it.

Other that he above and a big pile of ironing not much happening today . A visit from my children probably with grandchildren in tow .

    Nice restful Sunday.

Aww paws as you are now known as ! If it wasn't for my niece my hair would now be grey and long. I can't afford salon prices as my hair needs doing once a month . I give her extra money at birthdays , Xmas etc she is a godsend !

PSL . Think having time away from the diary gives you time to reevaluate things . It isn't easy to be in control sometimes , it's a steep learning curve and I have done it before. Last time though was tougher I had 2 jobs worked 48 hrs a week and had a daughter still at home . You think I would of have learnt my lesson but I didn't. Now I have a goal to drop days at work as I approach the big 60 . Once you are in the right mindset you will succeed.

  • Thank you. I think it will help. I feel like I've got into the mindset where I think it's ok to overspend if I write about it. Well obviously that's really silly.
So I think time doing rather than writing at least for a bit will help.

Although following other people will help. So I'll be right here when you are!

Ah ! Forgot my shopping list rembered everything on it but got extras , as well as soup making , going to do sausage casserole to freeze as well , my son and grandson love it. Spent £25 so under weekly budget by £5 but more than I thought. Never mind could be worse .

My freezer is full of soup , sausage casserole and bolognese sauce. Think I have enough food for at least 2 weeks maybe more.

Bought my mum her Mother's Day present today , took it out of Birthday/Xmas fund. She is away on the actual day .

Just updating spending diary , then getting ready for work and the week ahead.

Big surprise today, I applied for a fuel grant through my union before Christmas as I fitted the criteria . Today in the post I got a Cheque for £50 very happy. Also £31 eBay sales.

Will decide n next few days how to split it i.e. Debt repayment and savings .
