Have found out today I may be able to drop to 4 days a week at work which has been my aim for quite a while . Obviously my salary will drop but not as much as I thought , big decision can I afford to do it . Need to do sums! Seriously hoping it can happen .

Sleepless night with figures rolling around in my head , wondering will I survive on my decreased salary and a lot of what ifs.

Need to wait until I have done the maths before I start worrying more.

Well the lower salary is just about doable, but I am going to wait until I have paid more of debt and have a good emergency fund.

Got a credit card statement for the card that I had paid off , but I forgot £33.29 of petrol will pay with excess left in current account.

Have a eye test to pay for as well tomorrow, that will come out of the excess balance as well. Now normally I would have panicked and used a credit card to pay optician but because of this months budget I have some money over.

It feels so good knowing this.

    Bedtime for me.

A long shot here but does your employer not offer an eye care scheme a lot do these days just so you don't get an optician bill??

My employer does offer free eye tests, however I don't have to pay for eye test any longer , as family member has glaucoma and I am over 40. That's the good news , the bad news is I need glasses and I need to find £120 by next Wednesday. I have got a discount on my two pairs of glasses as the opticians are friends .

Now need to find this money . Do I pay with cc and pay off monthly , do I do a money transfer from my new 0% card and just add to debt ? All help useful.

Thank you to Scott-Weil and legitclaims for dropping by?

Kindly neighbour let me know my tyre was fairly flat. Have put air in and am hoping that I don't have a puncture, I am useless st remembering to put air in and it maybe 5 months since it was last done. Will check it in the morning then go and spend 50p and check the pressure in my other tyres. If I need a new tyre or a puncture mended I have the money for that in separate account .

New tyre it was £50 spend , thank goodness for my car fund. Had a £7.75. Home bargains shop today buying cleaning bits , some tins of beans , and few other bits. Have shopping list done for tomorrow. Last week of eating out of store cupboard and freezer , next weekend will have to batch cook . Still haven't worked out how to pay for glasses , but will do tomorrow. Have listed more eBay items.

It's now 2 months since I bought any new clothes , and 6 weeks since I used a credit card. Life hasn't stopped and I have money left 2 weeks before payday.
