Cricks, not updated in three days. I have really been busy, and distracted in equal measures.
I am try to keep up the work as much as possible each day, staying as long as possible before I pick up Dgd from her after school club. I have even started to use the spare room again to work in the evenings.
Saturday was all about the children, BF had dgd from after school club Friday until about 6pm while I started preparing for the lesson and a birthday party. He also had her until about 10am before bringing her down to the shop, as my usual sitter was not available until 2pm.
The 6 little girls were 2-4pm although in the end only 5 came, so dgd helped to make the missing child's bag and I finished it in the last 5 minutes as they were packing up.
We came to Oxford about 6.30 and BF cooked a spaghetti bolognaise for us.
I have had a phone call from DGDs Mum, and a card from dgd with pictures of cotton reels in a collage.
Yesterday DS passed his driving theory test, and has completed a full week working at his new job. All we need now is for the money to be sorted and settled.
the sun is out today so perhaps a walk around the university parks later. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
All four telephoned me this year, for Mothers Day. Dgd got to talk to her Mum on FaceTime. We went for a drive around and a walk by the canal at Thrupp. Lovely day.
Time for Vera on the telly, and usually a little work on my business planner for the upcoming week. the last week of my 90 day goals. I am not going to hit target, but each week has been improving this month. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Back home, too mist and clouds.
Dgd has a special assembly today so I am going to see her receiving an award. Then a dash to Biggest to collect my laptop as I need to do the hmrc wages and can't access it on my phone. Although staff have already been paid.
I am hoping to up my own wage by £10 a week and see if we can sustain it for the month. I am determined that I am eventually going to get at least the minimum wage each week.

Just booked dgd a swimming with the dolphins while we are away. So that's next Friday sorted. I think I will definitely be cooking for us in the apartment most days now! Trip to Lidl in Albufeira on Tuesday morning then. Wonder what deals will be in store then?
I will have to watch, but little bit of me wishing I could join her instead of being a spectator, but I can't quite stretch to two of us doing it.
Good job I know that the apartment has the cooking facility and a fridge for the cold drinks, and I know how to get to the supermarket when I pick up the hire car. Day trips will be with our own picnics that is for sure.
I am starting to feel ready for a break and no matter what the weather throws at us, I will relax and rest.
I have to rest my hands as no matter what the blood test said I am in pain and today was a struggle when I had to sew leather bike jacket. I had to stop after replacing one pocket and I still have two more to do!
Dgd had her Head teacher award for her Help with mad science, and her story she wrote in the subject of Dilemma in hot topic ( what ever that is ). I will ask to see it tomorrow.
I got my laptop back, and I have sorted wages for next week too.
We have had a bunch of travellers arriving today at the local leisure centre so I am concerned about the local area as they are already dumping stuff in the car park with in hours of arriving and we are already seeing a rise in vehicle thefts this last week or two so if they do decide to be of the dodgy sort the local police will have their work cut out. I realise that not all travellers are a problem but unfortunately I have been victim to the few the last time that some where in town. But having said that I also have had work for some too.
Just sceptical I supposeWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Wonder what today will bring?
Hoping optimistically for sunshine, smooth passage through the working day and plenty of work coming in as those done get collected.
Hopefully it will be a productive day and a cheery one.
I still have to pack DGDs bag for her school trip tomorrow so I will be also thinking about our things for next week.
Must check how many suitcases and what weights we are allowed for the holidays too.
Sending positive thoughts out into the Universe xxWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo I had painful joints in my hands in my twenties. The blood test came back with nothing. I do have arthritis in them and have spurs on some of the knuckles now. I also have it in other joints. My knees have had it but I try to keep going because I don't want to go down the path of replacements yet and I am 61. I think it is the tests that are useless.I was told to take up to 8 aspirin a day and that my pain was probably from a virus !! Needless to say I did not take that advice. I rub olbas oil or lavender oil on any painful joints to ease the pain.0

Just want to say my bit about dolphin swimming, I don't know anything about where you are going but I am always sad about dolphins kept in captivity and expected to perform for holiday makers.
Such a shame you couldn't go and see dolphins in the wild instead, swimming free in their natural habitat.0 -

It would be ideal but not possible at the moment.
As these have been at the zoo marine for several years now we may as well pay towards their up keep and the conservation work that it helps fund. In an ideal world it might be different.
She wants to be a marine Biologist so perhaps she will frame her own opinions after this. I do understand where you are coming from but I do know that several of the dolphins there have been born there so don't know any different, be that no real consolation to them. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
