Usually the twins are using messenger because they don't have credit on their phones and they don't have landlines. But I know what you mean.

I would agree with shoving your phone on airplane mode. Nothing worse than a phone beeping all night with notifications. Or putting the phone in another room. Too many people spend their lives attached to their phones (I'm one of them)

Nothing wrong with putting the phone on airplane mode when you are going to sleep.

creeping out of lurkdom to comment....I have a do not disturb setting on my iPhone. you can set the times between which notifications are silent, but still set to receive incoming calls too if you like. x

Also, Whatsapp is free to use so the twins don't need credit on their phones, just an internet connection. I assume they have either a data plan or broadband/wifi at home if they're using Messenger.

Don't know about the iPhone, but on my previous Samsung I could have a do not disturb time, but 'allow' some contacts to over-ride that. My newer one doesn't have this facility, that's progress!

I will take another look at the settings.
I had a long day yesterday and stayed at work until 5.40pm and brought work home. I was sewing until after 10pm!
Then I still had to finish alterations to DGDs costume for world book day! Yes I know that was yesterday but her school decided to put it on today instead!!
I am noticing that I am much slower than normal and it's making a difference in my turn around. I am going to have to work later again today too.
But at least I have not let anyone down by bringing the work home.
DS said his GF has a part time job in the big school in nearby town. I hope that she doesn't mess up this time. At least I know DS will be able to look after the boy.

No overtime today as my hands hurt and luckily I managed all the necessary work for tomorrow. I have three sessions for the children tomorrow so I am going to be very busy indeed.

I am now advertising for a part time seamstress to help me.
I hope that will help my hands and I can train them up before staff leaves in the summer

Oh good luck Mooloo, I hope just the right person turns up. Glad to hear about DS's GF's job too, hope all will go well. It might be just what she needs.
