Mooloo what a wonderful thing for them to do.

For what it's worth I would have done the same as you.

I have one of mine with several children struggling because universal credit is continually being messed up. we have helped them quite a bit but they are very driven to get off UC altogether so I keep doing little things to help that along. Hopefully by this time next year they will be off it and earning enough for a modest lifestyle. They are good with money but what do you do when you have no control over the money you are supposed to get?

    Do you believe in miracles?
I do. I don't mean necessarily religious ones, but honest good human ones. Well one of my customers has stepped in to help us, and given my son (via me) 1/3 off the rent debt! Amazing fortune for us, it has meant that I can completely pay off the credit card transaction immediately ( and I have), and it means that DS doesn't have to find so much to pay me back. It also means that we will be able to get some store cupboard food in to help aliviate the problems of not having enough food this month.
I am so grateful and thankful and DS and his GF are amazed, humbled and excited that there is good in the world.
I feel as if the universe has listened and provided when we needed it most. I feel renewed in my faith of human beings today.
I know that I have done similar in the past and my friend here said it is karma, what goes around comes around.
I can't begin to explain how much worry that such an act of kindness has removed from not just me, but my son's family and even Biggest as she was worrying too.
I may be snuffling and sneezing still, but I am feeling so very much restored. I feel like the luckiest family in the world.

Mooloo - that is wonderful! It shows that there are still good people in the world - let's hope that the excitement that DS & GF feel gives them the boost to self-confidence and organisation x
    It may well do so.

I have more good news as this morning the housing officer told DS he still had to pay £325 court costs. So I rang up and said that no we didn't as yesterday we were told that if we cleared the rent arrears we would not have to.
They just got back to me, and have waved the fees due to miss communications on their behalf.
I had a long chat with his housing officer and I hope that from now on he will engage with us and now that I am aware of things that I will be doing everything I can to make sure that he understands his responsibility etc and that he is now also tackling the problem with the garden etc.

I feel like I have achieved so much in the past 24 hours and with the help of my benefactor I feel much more positive and appreciative of late.

On the plus side we have had several zips jobs coming in today and curtains too. So once again I have work ahead of me for the next few days, and hopefully the zips already ordered will arrive before Thursday.
I am at a good point where to stop for the day and I can get home and keep warm, and continue to take the tablets and hopefully be much better by tomorrow.

    Morning.
I am hoping that today is a little less stressful and at a slower pace.
I had my neighbour around last night and we shared a bottle of wine and chatted for ages. So I went to bed with out washing up or putting the front room back in order. So I am about to go down stairs and get going.
I am going to take DS to Aldi and do my shopping as he does there's. I am going to spend an extra £20 on theirs this week only because we can't get the food bank voucher this week we will have needed it earlier in the week.
But I have plenty of meat in my freezer so I don't need too much myself.
I am hoping that I will be well enough to drop by My mum's and change her bedding etc but don't plan on going out. I want to come home early and start on my ironing pile as it's taking over and breeding in the corner!
I have to start my own route back to frugaldom, and do my own house work etc.
I am feeling much better at last.
Here is hoping that we can follow the plan today and achieve some of the todo list.

Shopping done, DS returned home. I came home as Spoken to Mum on Skype and she's not needing anything so I came home to do something about the housework. Put the shopping away, had a cup of tea and then vacuumed down stairs, the stairs and the landing and attacked DGDs room so I could vac in there too. It took some time to pick up the tiny bits of Lego. So tempted to just vac it up but it's so expensive I don't dare.
I started on the entrance to the spare room and gave up as ran out of energy. Watched a recording of call the Midwife and started on the ironing before walking to school to get dgd. Her teacher wants to see me after half term on the Wednesday. To do her review.
I came home and have had a hot bubble bath as all a bit achey and have a headache. Thought it might help relax me, but not sure if it succeeded as I am so aware that I needed to do much more today.
I feel like I am running on empty today after the frenzy of the last 4/5 days.
Maybe I am just not completely better after all.
I need to go and update my budget now to reflect all the recent activity and hopefully I will get a boost of energy to do the business paperwork I need to do.
