    Good morning lovely ladies

SUgarbaby......congratulations on your grandsons results. You must be very proud. With you and your lovely family behind him he's sure to go far.

    Fab Friday today....

DS2 is coming round, more diy and decorating......so I shall be in my scruffs :rotfl: but its all in a good cause.

I have set myself a target to get everything finished by Christmas. However what with my fibro, my arthritis flare ups, and all that has happened this year with the aftermath of my fathers death I am struggling. I don't want to keep relying on my sons so I have decided to get some help. I interviewed a lady yesterday and she starts next week.

Speaking of targets.....my "year to change my life" has really stumbled. Hey ho.......I will just have to revise my target......18 months or maybe even 2 years. :rotfl:

    I'll get there. :D

Indie.......have you tried taking a good probiotic...my gut health has been so much better now I take one. I also have a portion of Greek yoghurt every day, lovely with fruit and drizzled with honey. And again lots of good bacteria.

Have to smile at your dating escapades. I guess you'll just have to keep kissing the frogs.......your prince will be out there somewhere. Must say you are a braver woman than me.:D

Re the knee......I bought myself a knee brace. I don't wear it all the time, just when I know I'm going to be walking a lot. Would that help. Plus have you tried glucosomaine. I'm taking it again now and it does seem to be helping. Plus I also take omega 3. But yes you are quite right, Physio to strengthen the muscles which support the knee joints are your best form of attack.

I am taking a probiotic at the moment because of the antibiotics I had to take for that infected insect bite. Prefer not to have yoghurt as dairy definitely seems to disagree with me, but there are plenty of other food with a probiotic effect on the body - even - oh joys - good quality dark chocolate. I am planning to go through the book I got and shop accordingly over the weekend. Main thing I need to do is get the sugar back out of my diet. It's so bad for you in every way.

My aunt said I seemed to be a good job of finding a lot of frogs. Have to admit other than the typical London kiss on either cheek I haven't kissed most of them! You can't force chemistry / attraction.

I did wear a knee support when my knee got bad on holiday a few years ago, but the physio has said if necessary he will show me how to tape my knee and ensure I have the right tape to take away with me and that would be preferable as it won't be as hot and also it would be more tailored to exactly the issue with my knee. It's not been feeling so sore since I saw him anyway which is good. I really want to try to sort out the underlying issue, will ask if any supplements might help. I know I have some damage in there as you can hear it make a crunching sound when I go up and downstairs!
Have you tried the Hammersmith ceroc freestyle indie? I think it's every other Saturday night (or used to be) and had a good mix of men and women, it was a lot friendlier than some other ones I went to as well.

I haven't tried that one yet no. Does seem to be every 2-3 weeks still so I should give it a try. That, Chiswick and Twickenham are other options. Westminster is easier for me to get home from, but I suspect some of those I could drive to - not like I really want to drink and Ceroc anyway, my spins aren't the neatest even when sober.

Had a nice night last night, we went to the roof top bar at John Lewis on Oxford Street, was done up like an English country garden.

Right, I would post more but time is getting on so I will wish you all a fab Friday and catch up over the weekend! x

    Morning fabulous ladies,

Many congrats to your son on his successful AS results Sugarbaby what a good reason to celebrate.
Not sure about Fab Friday as I am in coloured jeans and an easy linen top but I have made the effort to put makeup on and my hair is freshly washed :)
Unfortunately the conjunctivitis took a good few days to calm down so we didn't go racing in the end, tbh the weather wasn't great and I was feeling quite self-conscious about my eye so we have saved our pennies for another day.
It's been quite a quiet week on the whole, life just gently pootling along, the weather has certainly taken a turn for the better so I have spent much of the time sitting in the garden reading.
Whilst I am certainly enjoying my summer off have to say am starting to feel like getting back into work, albeit just on a part time basis, I do miss the mental stimulation of being in a work environment and whilst financially we can manage on my DOH's income it would feel good to be contributing, especially as I am now looking for a new horse :j I have enlisted the help of my good friend and expert instructor so fingers crossed something will turn up soon. Another friend sent me some hat cam footage of her cantering her horse across a freshly cut stubble field and I was soooo envious, so that's my goal for this time next year.
Have a good Friday and love to all x

  • I had a bit of a clear out I got rid of a few dresses that made me feel like a blimp and others that were a little short/ not ideal or plain ugly. so I dropped a few bags into the charity shop and it feels great. I passed along a few cosmetics that were not being used by me to someone who appreciate them. Lots of items that made me feel happier to have gone. It frees the soul.

I got organized with clothes keeping what suits, out with the torn and things that were not me anymore. I ironed like a demon on steroids, decluttered and sorted out. A lot of courses done and paperwork done. All the to do list is done {ok there is still a lot to do), but I have a slight pain in my back. Too much and but I feel so proud of it all being done. I have a massive busy week ahead and miles to travel a head.

I bought a new sheet mask as plan on leaving it on my face for the next few hours.

    Hello Ladies,

I had a busy day yesterday. I went to see The Hunting of the Snark at the Vaudeville Theatre and in the evening I went to see the film Step at the Hackney Picturehouse.

The play is actually meant for children, but it is also for the young at heart. The actors attacked their roles with great enthusiasm and the play was funny. I am so glad that a took a risk and went to see it.

The film Step exceeded my expectations. It called forth so many different emotions from me. It is a very empowering and inspiring film. I would personally give this film 10/10

I am going to the Blessing of my great niece and the memorial for her grandmother (my niece) this morning. I have to leave the house in a few minutes. Another positive family gathering.

    Have a good day ladies

Well I'm decidedly unfab today.......have been on a decorating marathon and now have painters colic. Fun. The danish Oil used on the kitchen worktops is even worse than the paint.

So.....I'm sat in the garden wrapped up in blankets trying to keep warm whilst getting away from the paint fumes and breathing in some fresh air.

    Feeling sorry for myself. :rotfl:

    Hello Ladies,

My whole family had a really good time yesterday. It was good to be in Church and to sing hymns old and new. My great niece was very calm as she was Blessed and her life was dedicated to God. :) I had to do a short speech before the Blessing began, because my 2 older sisters had refused that honour. ;) When my great niece is a teenager or older it will then be her choice if she wants to become a Christian. We also remembered her grandmother as well, but it was not a sad occasion at all.

I did make an effort fabbing wise but I have hardly any clothing that fits to choose from, which is frustrating. Lucky for me my glamorous Phase Eight black silk and velvet skirt can still fit me and I wore a purple Marks and Spencer Autograph velvet sleeveless top with diamante decoration on the front of the top with the skirt. I wore a pair of black leather Van Dal slingbacks. I wore my silver chain with the QVC purple sandstone heart and the matching earrings, a QVC silver and diamanique ring and my stainless steel and diamond Ingersoll watch. I took along a plain black V neck Primark cardigan to wear when it got a bit colder. I was carrying my black patent leather Osprey handbag. I wore a bronze brown eyeshadow, lashings of black mascara and clear nail polish. I had on my favourite perfume and layered it with the matching body lotion.

There was leftover chicken and cake, so we brought some home. I can not resist the cake, as it tastes so good and is so tempting. :rotfl: We had chicken for dinner yesterday evening and today from the leftovers. :D

I felt a bit of pain this morning, so I took some painkillers and got on with my day. I am catching up with the washing and the drying today, as I have a Hospital appointment tomorrow for my heart scan and in the evening I am determined to go to Karaoke. :)
