  • I'm back for 2017. Happy New Year!

Last month I lost count of IN's and OUT's as I was away for nearly the whole month and had to purchase a few bits but also used up some too.

I'm determined not to buy anything this month apart from the one purchase I've just made online:

    1. Vichy Normaderm Night Detox Cream - I'm desperate for a decent night cream and sampled lots of Vichy whilst I was away. My skin seemed to love it plus there are no more night creams left in my stash! Would like to purchase more Vichy items such as the foundation and cleanser but I still have other brand items in my stash to use up first.

Nails have been painted in a bright pink colour to make up for this dull weather :D

Well I'll be going back into Manchester today to collect my M&S order. Not sure whether to go and get the L'Occitane liquid soap set I saw in Debenhams at a really good price. Contained the Lavender liquid soap plus refill plus 2 x smaller ultra rich shower cream and body lotion. Having tried this lotion again yesterday I realise how much I missed it. I could give Emma the handwash to take back to Uni with her. Will see.

I repaintied my finger nails yesterday and am wearing OPI Five and Ten with Champagne for Breakfast on top,

Made the mistake of watching YouTube video about OPI polishes to be discontinued this year and there are a couple that were mentioned that I now feel I need or need a back up of.

    Welcome newbies and old faces.

I repainted my nails last night with Essie Sable Collar.

Gemzie - I like the Roger & Gallet fragrances that M&S stock, also their Isis is a copy of L'eau d' issey, I also really like their Per Una scent but not sure if they still do it. If you like a strong floral Floryntina is lovely and long lasting.

Good morning everyone and welcome Massa1982

    First UUs of the year:

Lush Rose Jam Bubbleroon WBA. I love the Rose Jam scent so I'll be definitely be picking this up again :)

Lush Butterbear WBA. It was a fast fizzer, but a lovely bath bomb.

I was looking through my emails yesterday and Boots is giving me double points on all my purchases in January because my birthday is this month. This might tempt me into buying things I don't need. I only need to buy one thing from Boots this month :/ And I found out I have a Body Shop Love Your Body £5 voucher waiting to be used. Argh!

So even though yesterday was officially the start of the new year when changes should be made and resolutions started, I spent the day nursing a monster hangover, eating leftover festive foods and I only half heartedly started my new years resolutions...

1 of my resolutions was to get into a proper 'hygiene' routine, if you like. I sometimes have a problem with remembering to wash/shower/look after myself properly. I literally felt like death by lunch time yesterday so I forced myself to the shower and I did things as thoroughly as I could in my hungover state :rotfl: I felt tonnes better after though :D

This morning I really knuckled down. I was going to have a shower when I woke up but I don't need to shower that often! so I brushed through my hair again and again until it was completely tangle free, pulled it back into a high ponytail then went to the bathroom to brush my teeth, use mouthwash and then I used my stash item of simple cleanser to give my face a proper wash with water over the sink. When I got back to my bedroom I had a look at my tub with skincare bits in but I have decided that for now I will stick to the basics so after my wash in the bathroom I used my simple toner and then put a small amount of my simple moisturiser on. They say the basics are to cleanse, tone, moisturise, right?! :D

I am going to do this morning and night, and have a shower every other day. I will set alarms in my phone if I have to. If I can nail this 'basic' routine, then I can start adding in products like a serum for my face, then a serum for my hair, then an eye cream etc until I have all bases covered, if you like. This will also give me a chance to pinpoint anything that might start causing problems.

And guys, have any of you tried m&s perfume? I have a £20 guft voucher but couldnt find much in the way of clothing that i liked. Dont really want to spend it on food! Dont need any shower gels etc but may get a perfume if theres a nice one. I smelled a few but didnt find one i particularly liked but the store didnt have a lot of choice. Any reccomendations? :)

a lot of the M&S autograph perfumes are copies of label brands (don't know how they get away with it but they've been doing so for years!) ie M&S azure breeze is D&G Light Blue, Isis is L'eau d'Issey etc. I love M&S Bohemia but I don't see it on their website at the moment. Have a google and see what the M&S fragrances are replicas of, and give your favourite one a go ;).

Have collected my M&S order. Very pleased with the 2 Rituals kits. I did also get the L'Occitane kit I mentioned and I bought a Laura Geller kit in TK Max. I never see anything I use/regularly buy in there and this was a real bargain as it cost less than the full sized Balance n Brighten contained in it. Also got mascara (will need soon), lip gloss, eyeshadow duo, double ended brush and blush. I think it may be reduced as the blush doesn't fit into the packaging.

My local M&S has a Christmas gift set of 12 sample size perfumes in the sale for £17, might be a nice way to try them all?

First IN of the year, a MAC foundation. I'm currently too pale for my normal foundation and the rear view mirror in my car is very unforgiving. As always, the sales lady offered me the choice between a "natural looking" shade or a "nice warm glow"! This was necessary but I need nothing more for a while now and won't be going into town for a bit.
  • Hi - can I join in please? I checked my cupboard today and saw that I have eight bottles of shower gel including three part used ones.

I got some facial products for Christmas so I'm making an effort to use them, but I don't think I'll use them up.

I think I may need to buy some handwashing stuff and deodorant this month and hopefully nothing else.

I have lots of makeup, so I'm going to try to wear makeup more often.

I daren't post a list yet - far too much - perhaps I will post in June or later in the year when I have made some progress.
