Hi HSL - yes we`re all well thank you. I find I wake up even earlier when I have set the alarm and my body produces its own alarm clock! *sulk*3

Isn't that precisely what the savings are for? 3 birthdays is one week is enough to throw anyone off!Glad week one at 3 jobs went well and they're diverse enough to keep you happy. Hope you keep using your lunch breaks to relax and unwind. You need it. xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Thank you SH, Janb5 and Kitten868.
Days are very busy at the moment between jobs. Looking forward to catching up with things like blackberry picking at the weekend!
Finances are proving to be quite challenging at the moment. I knew that September would be tricky because of the significant birthdays but I will now have a garage bill to contend with as my car started to have a burning smell last weekend. I ended up missing part of the birthday celebration as It seemed safer to get back home than go further afield with the burning smell. I think the EF will have to be used. In addition to the car, my ancient laptop ( on which I do all my planning for Job 1) completely died, so I’ll need to replace that. Thankfully I am able to borrow one from Job 1 until I can get one, so it will give me chance to save for it rather than have to go into debt.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . @Honeysucklelou2 - don't know if it's any good for you but I managed to get a refurbished Dell lap top from the Long river company last year for £99. Obviously not a top spec one but it does for what I need it for. You may of course need something a bit higher spec but certainly worth looking on there to see if you can get a cheap refurbished laptop.
Hope you manage to get your car sorted quickly - thank goodness for Emergency Funds!

Your work should give you a laptop to carry out your work that you have to complete in unpaid time anyway. Well they should pay you but I won't get into that. So use the work laptop guilt free!

Thank you joedenise, Kitten868 and SH.
joedenise - Thank you for the computer tip. I’ve never heard of the Long River company. I only need a computer to do documents on and be able to access the internet to upload or send by email. I will look into that, thank you.
Kitten868 - Thank you for that...my boss immediately offered a laptop on hearing of the demise of my personal one, so this week has been much easier getting work done than trying to juggle and share DD3’s especially when she is so busy with UCAS research and forms.
The local garage were very gracious and despite being very busy managed to get my car fixed. The bill will be paid from the EF which mercifully won’t wipe it out but will put a significant dent in it. I was so, so glad to get the car back and feel safe in it again.
Today is my one day off in the week, so have lots to do. I got a fair amount of washing done yesterday but it was so wet outside that I’m really hoping I can get it out and dried today. The sky is looking more promising.
I need to sit down today and try to plan out October’s finances. A bit tricky as I don’t know what my income will be from Job 3 until the end of the month. At least I now know when payday is, which is the same as job 1 so easy to remember. My priority for October will be to get more paid off ( so many birthdays this month and last has scuppered this) and to rebuild the EF ASAP. I still have DD3’s 18th at the beginning of next month but I have earmarked the money for that.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.
