Thank you Janb5. I did think of you this evening, when Boris talked about people shielding again.
My dad did look into a type of broadband that, if I’ve understood it correctly, works on some sort of dish /satellite system. I did make enquires on their website and heard nothing but maybe worth getting in touch with them again. I must check with work as I’m sure our broadband there is dish based rather than fibre optic. Good news on the TV!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Hi...my knowledge of broadband isnt extensive so I didnt know you could get dish based! Is fibre out of the question and is it a lot more expensive? Is it influenced by location as well? My friend in Dundee has poor reception.
Perhaps because of the number of the users you could get a reduction because ofall the mobiles/ laptops in the house?
Hopefully....!

Hello HSL,
I hope you're going to be OK today for a challenging day. You got even less sleep than me last night! I'm dreading my girls waking up in a minute and I have to tell them they're not going in. They were so happy coming out yesterday. I know you've done lots of prep so I hope that there's enough behind you to make today straightforward.
I'm another one who is convinced my body would not react well to the sea at this time of year. I'm not fairing well with the cold in the air let alone on the beach! So I totally agree with you. Thinking of you xxxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

A belated happy new year HSL. And well done on the progress you made. I’m with the others wanting to avoid the cold sea but I have also felt such a longing to be close to the beach. It will be a long time before that happens though so thinking about the cold water should dampen my desire a little.
There are places (three network I think) who will offer free broadband for low income families. Not sure if all the detail but perhaps there will be more options available in the near future ?formerly “magicgirl”Proud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free againworking hard to make my daughters proud6 -

Thank you SH.
What a bizarre week! I came home from work yesterday, unable to feel my toes, I was so cold. We have a number of key worker children in school, so still need to keep doors and windows open. Hopefully by the end of next week, we should be in a better routine with it all. Hoping I will save a little bit on petrol on the days I don’t work, as there will be no school run to do.
DD2 has kept herself busy as she is in her second week of furlough and has made it her personal mission to reach the bottom of every laundry basket. She has been busy baking too so we have banoffee pie in the fridge, banana & apricot loaf in the cake tin, a huge cream filled Victoria sponge which I must say was very light and delicious and a chocolate cake, none of which is doing my “ must eat more healthily in 2021” plan much good! I have made sure that I’m getting out for a daily walk, even if it’s an evening one.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.
