Thank you Janb5, CCL & SH for your kind words.
I’ve spent this evening playing a somewhat protracted game of Friends monopoly, but such a precious time with my children. The evening was relaxed and filled with laughter 😊. Tomorrow, or rather today, the older DDs want to go for a New Year swim so looking forward to getting to the beach.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Thank you Janb5 and SH.
Janb5 - Yes DD2 had a Friends version for her birthday. It’s a bit weird because it’s episode names rather than place names and coffee cups / sofas rather than houses and hotels but the basic principles are the same.
SH - DD3 has gone in for a dip in the last 2 New Years Day’s. Now that DD2 can drive, they do some things together and I think it’s a brand new tradition of their own that they want to keep up! It does look jolly chilly here today though. A beautiful sky and amazing frost but quite cold. I hope to go for the walk on the beach🙂.
2020 was a strange year but one with many milestones. It was the year that DD1 celebrated her 21st, DS1 his 18th, DS1 passed his driving test, DD3 left school with a good set of GCSEs based on her mocks, DD2 finished her catering course, DD1 graduated, albeit without an official ceremony, DS3 started school to name the bigger milestones. I’m thankful that despite the financial ups and downs, I was able to find a second job close to home to help with earning levels.
Lockdown 1 gave us the opportunity to discover more beautiful walks by exploring the public footpaths and more time to get to the allotment and be more productive. I’ve not been able to afford holidays for quite a long time, so the impact of the travel restrictions hasn’t affected me very much, only in picking up DD1 from uni. I have so very much to be thankful for.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Happy New Year. Your allotment tales inspired a lot of us to grow our own food more, me included. Thank you. You really could write a book. You have a lovely way of describing things that draws people in - especially about your walks.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
