Do you have room for a cake munching lodger,if so I'm just packing my suitcase 😁 I love looking for wildlife while I'm out walking B,the last two times we have been on the footpath through the fields there has been a very friendly robin,I'm not sure if it's the same one each time but either way they come really close. There are also lots of rabbits which B usually spots way before me,they really blend in with the undergrowth. The best sighting was at dusk when a badger ran across the path right in front of us, it was very surprised to nearly bump into tow people and a dog 🙀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205

Thank you SA, Cherryfudge, SH & OBL. You are all right, the budget is so tight, it would be wiser to hang on until more income arrives. No point making myself too short in case anything else happens or is needed that I haven’t spotted. I an getting impatient to get it cleared!
Cherryfudge - That did make me think about J@ck Monroe. I am trying to take more photos on walks with writing of some sort in mind, although I must confess that the photo above is courtesy of DD1 ( with her consent!).
OBL - I love spotting plants and wildlife. Our best sighting so far has been a couple of deer in a field just down from the allotment. How amazing to see a badger!
Today has been spent catching up on preparing next week’s lessons to go online on the relevant days. The DDs, DS3 and I went for another 3 mile circular walk. The second half of the walk was the same as yesterday but a different mix of public footpaths at the beginning of the walk. Yesterday we saw 1 child and their parent in the whole 3 mile walk but today there were a few more people, all from the village, making sure they had their daily exercise.
Intending to spend to this evening in front of a fire and a good book!

Can you buy ectra seeds to justify gate sales? Is there anyway you can capitalise on the gate sales with all the baking you and your DDs do, profit share with them if it helps them to keep up their enthusiasm?

Thank you Lucielle. I did have a thought to repeat the last couple of years and sell extra plants at the gate. Selling the more unusual varieties alongside some more well known ones seems to be a good mix. DD1 did tell me to do a seed audit before I ordered which was a good idea as I actually had some sweet pea seeds left over from this year so can delete them from the basket online!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . The photo of moss is exquisite. We miss so much... the world is full of beautiful tiny things.
Well done to your DD for the photo - she must have a good lens to capture the detail.

If you like badgers and are on FB, I can recommend following Mr Lumpy and Friends. The lady lives in the Derbyshire Dales and the badgers and foxes come into her garden and she films them. It’s such a lovely gentle page to follow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I like the idea of you doing a book - you should or weave it into fiction if you don't want to write non-fiction. Rosamund P1lch3r styleAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank you Cherryfudge, SA & SH.
DD1 took the moss photo with just her mobile phone, but she does have a way of taking photos that is very precise, she won’t rush it!
Thank you for the encouragement SH. The FB page sounds delightful SA, unfortunately I’m not on FB but good to know for friends who are.
Yesterday was a challenging day. The logistics of trying to get children online to find out and then do their learning was 🤯! The secondary school has started to do online lesson for most subjects as far as I can tell which is absolutely brilliant...if all children have their own device and access to good levels of WiFi. It’s definitely more positive and productive on the days we are all at school. We did get out of the house for a walk, almost at dusk, but a good bracing walk. We kept the torches off as much as possible and were amazed by the amount we could see.
Today has been an “at work” day which has gone well. I’ve had a cheque arrive in the post for the tax refund on my union subscription. That’s more that can be paid off the window loan 😉.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.
