Thank you Cherryfudge, Flipflopflo, SH & CCL.
Cherryfudge - the sweet peas are at the allotment. I planted about 15-20 seedlings around 2 willow cones and they have grown up and around the cones and are now flowering profusely. The stems are still quite long so am hoping for a few more weeks of flowers. I’ve got some “Wiltshire Ripple “ which are looking stunning. They really stand out among the single colour “ Black Night”.
The ex has developed a pattern of this behaviour. He is sent an official letter, which he ignores, sometimes repeatedly. He is then given a time frame to respond and right at the end of the given timeframe, he suddenly responds. Having seen this pattern again and again over the legal journey, I really should have known better than to hope. I have been was quite down about it all but thank you Flipflopflo for that word “serene”. I will do my best to remember that word.
I paid another £12.50 to the H2S account so now have £125 in there. It’s building up slowly🙂. I thought that I would wait until the car MOT has gone through before using the £300 against the window loan. Then I can be sure that if something is needed for the MOT, I can afford it.
I’ve sorted through quite a few clothes today and have a bag to go to the charity container, some to go to my friend’s family and a couple of odd bits I thought I would put on 3bay.
The DDs and DS3 and I went blackberry picking again today. We did our lockdown loop and picked another 3lbs of blackberries 😀.
I’ve been trying to tidy up various parts of the garden. There are areas that are full of pots and plants which I love and there are parts of the garden that are, quite frankly, a dumping ground for old bits of wood, sand, scaffolding boards and bits from DS1’s bike. The wood is left over from the ex’s work ( he’s self employed), so I ascertained from him whether the wood was needed or scrap. It turned out to be scrap so rather than clog the bin with it, I borrowed a machine saw and chopped the wood into chunks that can go in the wood burning stove later in the Autumn. The area has now been swept. As I swept it, I jumped back with surprise to see a toad hiding . DS3 was delighted with such a discovery and watched it carefully as it made its way to another hiding place. I know that DS3 will check for days to see if he can see it again!
I’ve sown some more lettuce, probably the last sow of the season and pricked out the kale from a few weeks ago. The lupins are up. I think the slugs have had a bit of a field day but there are still quite a few for me to pot on 🙂.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Hi HSL- has the Ex got a deadline to actually complete everything or does he plan to procrastinate forever with impunity!8

If he is still walking in when it suits him? Can you 'lose' the key and change the locks and then keep forgetting to get him a replacement. It might give you a few weeks respite. I am assuming that you will get the house in the settlement,if you do as soon as everything is finalised then make changing the locks a priority then.
I think you are very sensible to wait for the MOT before paying to the loan.
That's very MSE of you with the wood and hopefully Mr Toad will find a nice new house.
As a friend always says KOKO (keep on keeping on)9 -
Please push your solicitor for a tighter time frame. Don't think that the judge will be as sympathetic...

Than’ you Janb5, Flipflopflo & CCL.
Jan- He has no fixed deadline other than one that the mediator set. I have asked for the form to be sent if any more procrastination is evidenced but it would seem, as ever, he got in touch at the 11th hour.
CCL - Will try to contact my solicitor again this week.
Flipflopflo - I have a new barrel and keys ready to go the second I can legally change the locks!
Today has been a bit of a low day. The stuff with the ex swirling in the background combined with more worry about the elderly lurcher. He is definitely not himself...he’s refused his food twice, which is absolutely unheard of. He took a dental stick chew thing but dropped it and let one of the younger dogs take it - again behaviour that is unheard of. He can usually be found in the same room that I’m in but today he has been no further than 15 cm away from me. Even the prospect of a walk did nothing ☹️. I am concerned that he might be starting with heart trouble which is what we lost his mum to. I’m planning to ring the vet first thing and get an appointment and hope and pray that it won’t cost too much.
I’ve also got to go to work tomorrow and Tuesday, possibly Wednesday as well. Suddenly the holidays seem to have flown by.

Sending you lots of hugs @Honeysucklelou2. It's horrible when pets are ill as they can't tell us what is wrong. I know when we lost our lurcher it was heartbreaking. I hope that the vet can help tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you x
Oh! and good for you for the barrel ready and waiting to go.

Hi HSL- at what stage are you allowed to change the locks legally ?6
-
@janb5 if I remember rightly then as long as ex is on the deeds and mortgage, even if not paying, then he has every right to be in 'his' house unfortunately. So if the financials are sorted out before the divorce he wouldn't be able to enter even if they weren't divorced.8
