Thank you Cherryfudge.
Last night I popped into Mr T's to find that all of their summer bulbs / tubers were down to £1.20 a pack ( from the £3-£5 original price), so I confess I did pick up a box of irises and a box of dahlias! Must get on at the allotment and get more beds cleared. My friend very kindly, harvested some of her bamboo so I have some canes for my runner beans later :j.
I had to pay £101 for the punctured tyre to be replaced and swopped with the spare tyre. The spare is now back underneath the car and I will remember to ask for it to be checked when next serviced. The tyre was not in my budget for May so have had to postpone the payment of the camp fees for DD until later in the month.
Insomnia strikes again. I had got into a bit more of a better sleep routine over the Easter holidays but it's all gone haywire again:mad:. Unfortunately I've picked up a bug that has left me with a horrible cough so trying to take multi vitamins everyday. Must try to make some soup later in a bid to boost nutrition levels.
The weekend looks to be busy. I had to work an extra half day this week and will have to work an extra day next week, so feeling that I need to cram more in this weekend to keep on top of everything. Not sure if I'll be paid or whether it will be time in lieu.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Yesterday (Sat) began with being a taxi driver for DS2. My uncle and aunt are visiting the county, so I arranged to meet them at a relatively local NT property. I hadn't seen them since my grandmother's funeral, so it was nice to walk and chat. The gardens were beautiful, full of colour with the rhododendrons out and fragrant with the wisteria scenting the air.
After dropping a DD to a party, the rest of us got home and I spent an hour or do at the allotment. The weeds are growing at an alarming rate. I got some chopping back done, of the nettles and cleaned out the greenhouse. I have seedlings in there on a potting bench but had chance to clear and sweep out the floor area. 3 of the tomatoes are now potted on into 3 litre pots and I think I have enough space to pot on another 5. The scabious is coming on nicely, so really need to get a bed cleared properly to get that planted in. After having "sow runner beans " on my to do list for the last 3 weekends, I have finally got round to it :j. I can probably get more sown but need to bring back decent sized pots from the allotment, next time I go.
The lovely weather has allowed washing to be line dried :j. I had one awful moment today when I thought the washing machine had packed up . It came up with a code instead of end. I tried to empty the filter which had got stuck with bits of twiggy material but water starting spreading out from the washing machine onto the floor. I think I'd not replaced the filter part tightly enough because having taken it out and put it back in, the machine has gone through a cycle without leaking a drop of water. A big relief!!
Finished the day by tackling work emails and planning. Still more to do tomorrow but chipping away at it helps. Sleep is still haywire  - really don't want to end up with awful sleep patterns again.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Got through today at work but am absolutely knackered...not good for a Monday. Still battling a horrible cough and nearly lost my voice at work.I've got huge amounts to get through before Friday so must battle on.

Maybe you need to put yourself first? After all if you have to go off sick, work will have to remain not done, so it's arguably better to have a fit-to-work self with work not completed. Of course that's a lot easier said than done and may not be possible.
Good to hear your washer sorted itself out! Ours is making a racket - we keep talking about 'getting it looked at' but I don't think either of us wants to bite the bullet.
The weeds are going mad here, too. There's the ivy and goose grass which are always a problem, and now a patch of ground elder is launching a takeover bid. I read that both ground elder and goose grass are edible, so maybe I should try to cultivate them, thus ensuring they die off quickly.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

at the ground elder and goose grass Cherryfudge. I often think that about the nettles. There's enough to make a freezer full of nettle soup and still have some to coat a yarg or two!!
Still feeling grotty. I went to work today, did the absolute essentials and left at 3, came home and slept for about an hour:eek:. Trying to gird up strength to sort out tea. Oh and youngest DD was sick so obviously some bug or two lurking:(.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Another day of getting through and going straight to bed when I've got through the door. I've slept and now feel a little more human but can't work out why I'm so tired:(.
A letter arrived today from my solicitor. It contained a statement which shows the current position. I pay about £200 a month in a standing order and had built up just over £1000 but billed work has reduced that to about £250:eek:. Hope I can get that built up again.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Solicitors are expensive!
Have you asked for a blood test to try to find out what's making you so tired? I'm thinking anaemia or thyroid, but stress can be tiring too of course, or any number of things I haven't thought of. I always thought my tiredness was my own fault somehow till I had a diagnosis and I'm very grateful for it.
Hope you sleep well tonight.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
