  • Thanks Maman - you were right it wasn't enough so I had another 12 syns worth of oatcakes with the soup but the good news is that's the last of them. Only a few nature valley bars left to go but they have long dates so I can potentially save them for visitors - unfortunately the box is open so I can't give them to the Food Bank.

Kathrynha congrats on the loss and the Guide sleepover in the Sea Life centre sounds great...better than the cold damp Guide huts we used to go to though that was a long, long time ago.

Well done too to Maisie and Candyapple on the losses.

Tomorrow I'm out for lunch so will try to choose the best option on the menu - I do like fish so hopefully some fish and veggies then for dinner I have a couple of eggs to use up so possibly an omelette with a salad.

. Oh wow! Thanks so much for that def going to give that a go sometime! Now I have to tell u I was ahead of myself lol it's actually the following weekend not this weekend is Chinese New Year! :o oops

:rotfl: I'm quite relieved about that! It will hopefully give me a chance to organise a bit of a gathering ;) I used to be a very social person and I used to cook for people all the time. Now I struggle so badly with anxiety, I stick to a few close friends, and haven't cooked for anyone but myself for... way too long. In fact I stopped cooking full stop for a while, but even starting to cook simple meals from scratch for myself has made me remember how much I used to enjoy it. Especially the challenge of adapting recipes to make them SW friendly! My PB2 arrived today and I am looking forward to making guilt-free satay with it. I am also about to take delivery of an ice-cream maker (belated Christmas gift from my brother) and I quite like the idea of creating some frozen yoghurt concoctions in that too :D Let me know if you like the recipe when you try it!

    STS.

Sorry still can't get it in red.
Pretty grotty week health wise.Nothing serious in the grand scheme of things.
Just feeling sorry for myself.Realised that some daytime telly is better than the stuff that is on in the evenings.
Kept to plan though so hopefully I'll have a loss next week.
Can't remember the amount of oats to yogurt (going to try substituting milk) in the overnight oats.
    Can somebody help me please.
    Thank you.
    ilovetea xx

    Hi all

Well done everyone on the losses.

Love reading about what everyone is having for Chinese New Year. I think I will do the Sezchuan Beef on Saturday as I bought the ingredients for making it a couple of weeks ago and never got round to it. Will just need to get some fresh peppers as the beef is in the freezer.

Need to get in the habit of writing down my menu again as I need to make sure I am staying within my syns

    Yesterday was:

Breakfast: toast (HEb), peanut butter (1 syn), DG coffee x 2 (4 syns)
Lunch: Aloo Ghobi, Chicken Tikka, ML yoghurt
Dinner: Beef Goulash (Packed with onions and peppers), rice, reduced fat sour cream (2 syns), forest fruits and ML yoghurt (had to try the new blackcurrant and liquorise ones and they are devine:) )
snacks: Hifi bar (3 syns), 4 crackerbread (4 syns), lolo cheese (HEa) and tomato

    total syns 14

    Menu today

Breakfast: toast (HEb), peanut butter (1 syn), DG coffee x 2 (4 syns)
Lunch: SW tomato soup, ham, ML yoghurt
Dinner: Mayflower curry with chicken, peppers, onions, mushrooms, mangetout and baby corn (4 syns), rice
snacks: forest fruits, Hifi bar (3 syns)

    total syns 12

    Have a good day everyone

Will hopefully catch up with posts later. In the meantime, it was minus 1 for me this week which was great. Aiming for 2 next week :j Managed to stay within my syns (I think) yesterday.

Breakfast was 2 alpen light bars (HEB) and snacks of grapefruit and grapes.
Lunch was a naked noodle pot (1.5) followed by raspberries

Chocolate syns: 1 finger of kit kat

Dinner: Home made chilli with pasta and with sprinkling of parmesan (what was left of my HEA and syns) and chopped shallot. 1 slice of garlic bread (4.5 syns).

    Resisted wine syns too!

Today's menu is again 2 x alpen light bars for breakfast. Snacks are grapes, blueberries and grapefruit.

snack - other finger of kit kat

Lunch is probably a deli pasta box (1.5 syns I think - will check)
    snacks - pear

dinner is lamb shank (2.5) with stir fry veg.

hope everyone has a great day :T

Very dehydrated today, no idea why. Been getting little niggles in what I think are my kidneys the last few weeks too so might have to get a Drs apt to be on the safe side.

Roll on Saturday and weigh in to start a new week.

Also looking forward to Saturday gin time!

    Afternoon all

Bad news for you all, the weather here in Spain is bad again - we had SNOW yesterday and then it poured with rain all night and it's still raining, so the vegetable shortages aren't going away anytime soon.

We were out on a treasure hunt in the snow yesterday and gave up on the clues in the end as we were finding it difficult to find the answers! We had a meal booked at the end of it, otherwise the organisers would have postponed it. The meal was quite nice, fairly SW friendly - salad, then pasta bolognese, then fish with vegetables. The fish had breadcrumbs and I scraped some off but ate about half.

It's very cold here too and I have to say I was so fed up I had wine last night. I'm not drinking today though.

Welcome to the thread Ali-t. Well done for your loss, how are you finding it so far?

Lantanna, I was quite surprised at Chinese New Year being this weekend as I hadn't heard anything being organised for it and there's always a big crowd that go to a local restaurant. Hope you feel better soon.

Its Burns night next week too and we've got a meal out planned for that - there will be haggis, neeps and tattles on the menu but I'm not a big fan!

    Have a good day everyone.

Hi Lois Lane, I am finding it ok and have been eating like a horse. I ate lots of chocolates and crisps last week too so it has highlighted just how bad my diet usually is that I can lose 4lbs and still eat that much. Should be ok to stick to with only a few minor slip ups. How do you find it? Any tips?
