  • Hi everyone, can I join you all please? I'm not sure how much I weigh, will go on scales in the morning and check back tomorrow evening with my aim if that's ok.
    Thanks

Hi all and welcome to the new thread for 2017!

We have finished off a box of Milk Tray that I had bought for me and a chocolate gateau I had in the freezer.

Back on track properly from tomorrow. Should be more disciplined when I'm back to work on Tuesday.

Hi all :) I've been absent from the forum for about a year I think. I've been unwell and have been on steroids since the start of September so I've piled back on the weight. Reducing the steroids at the moment and will hopefully be fully off them by the end of the month. Haven't faced the scales yet, going to do it in the morning, but I reckon I have about 5 stone to loose :(Can you put me down for 14lbs for the challenge please Shala.

    Morning all

I've lost 1lb of my Christmas gain, I was hoping to have lost all of it but I ate and drank more than I should have yesterday! I did roast beef, roast potatoes and parsnips, cauliflower and broccoli cheese, Brussels sprouts and green beans and I ate a big plateful (unusual for me). I tried an experiment with the cauliflower cheese - instead of cheese sauce I made cauliflower and blue cheese soup and it worked really well. Not free, but the only Syns were for 100g of cheese so I could count it as a HEA (not officially as blue cheese isn't on the list). I also had wine and brandy and some Lindt chocolates. Hey ho, the plan starts properly from today.

Welcome to the new joiners and welcome back to the returners. Good luck to everyone for your goals, both in this challenge and for the rest of the year, we can do it, and we're stronger together. :j

    Have a good day.

  • Happy new year to everyone.
I feel really happy to be getting back to normal. Work tomorrow and so busy getting tree down and having a good scrub of my house.
Doing a Chinese chicken with rice for tea and hoping there will be leftovers for me to take to work for lunch.
We have a new class opening in our village on a Friday morning. I am going to give it a try after the NY rush and if I like the consultant I will change permanently. It is about a half hour walk from my house but if the weather is dry and I could call at the farm shop for weekend veggies on my way home. That will be two less car journeys and I feel like the change would do me good and I might lower my target. We will see.
Beautiful day here, washing on my line and just off out with dogs so I'll catch you later.

Well I'm joining on Wednesday - a new group opens in the village.

I plan to do SP, I have an under active thyroid (dose recently been increased,I'm on HRT & I've just been diagnosed with IBS :-(

Are there any recipe books for SP?
Or does anyone have a link to SP meals?
Or failing that, any SP ideas?

Welcome to all the returners and new people. Good to have you on board.

Kim kim - SP isn't designed to be used all the time but just as a boost for a week or two when your weight loss slows. There is a 7 day SP plan on the SW website. Basically the plan means you don't have carbs you substitute the carbs for veg, so cauliflower rice instead of rice etc. You have one HEA and 2 HEBs.

I'm having a Green day today:

B - porridge made with water, frozen mixed fruit
L - carrot & lentil soup; egg, beans, fried up potatoes, pickles
D - aubergine & chickpea curry (from freezer), rice
    S - Ryvita, butter, cheese

    HEA1 - milk for teas
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB1 - porridge
    HEB2 - Ryvita

    Syns - butter on Ryvita
