I don't feel consoled at all, Surfchik:eek:, I feel worse knowing someone else has had flooding problems. Really sorry to hear of yours and the resulting smell which is probably even worse than the water damage. Sending hugs your way as it must have been even more of a nightmare for you with little ones in the house:kisses3:.
At least there was no smell with our flooding and apart from a ruined hall carpet (which had definitely seen better days and years and I'm glad to see gone;)) and the hall ceiling needing repainting once we've allowed it to dry out fully the final damage wasn't too bad. The water seeped into a wide area under the spare bedroom floorboards and short of taking the lot up:eek: we've just left the space where we took some up for the plumber to get access and hope the warm air will dry the space out. OH not happy (when is he ever?:rotfl:) because I've insisted on keeping the central heating on more to dry stuff out. I've a mountain of towels and old sheets to wash after using them to mop up and protect stuff but with the weather like it is they'll just have to wait.0 -
Lynne, so sorry to hear you're still having problems after your fall. It's been never-ending for you recently what with your eye op and then the fall, not to mention all your technology issues. Despite all the nasties that life's thrown your way you've still always been here to cheer the rest of us up, encourage and help us:A. I hope you'll be feeling fighting fit very soon:beer:. Your PMA makes me feel embarrassed and ashamed of myself for coming on here and moaning:o0

Aesop, thanks for the Chrome recommendation:T. I'll investigate it this morning:j. I want to get that Prolific £20 redeemed asap. I'm glad it's not just me having Firefox issues;)0

ok I didn't hit the 12 items on eBay by Friday. who did? who made the challenge? who managed to list a few things at least?
I have just realised my list of things to today is getting longer and longer
stop the world, I want to get off!0 -
So sorry lynne and CBC for the tough time you have been having. Cyber hugs and good wishes coming your way.

well done on ebay sales. I am trying to.muster the strength to dig out more stuff and list it
urgh to drain. maybe jeyes fluid will get rid of smell
OH has been out there in wellies hosing it all down, bless him. We tend to leave its door open, so its airing constantly and it does seem to be dissipating...just slowly! LOL
Keep going with the listings. Just get it up and online, even if it means doing the pics afterward. Aim for one a day. I find baby bites are the only way with eBay once the boredom has set in.
Not sure how everyone else does it, but I always start by looking up a completed version of whatever I want to sell and clicking 'sell one like this', as it fills in half the details and all I have to do is tweak it. If I can get away with it, I also copy their description and just paste that in with a few tweaks too. Saves an awful lot of time faffing around with fresh templates.carbootcrazy wrote: »I don't feel consoled at all, Surfchik:eek:, I feel worse knowing someone else has had flooding problems.
Awww, I didn't mean to make you feel worse! Well lets not get dragged down by it. Theres much worse in lifeAt least it was the day that our girls go to their grandparents, so there was time to get it as clean as possible before they came home. So glad you managed to get yours sorted relatively quickly too. Onwards and upwards hey?!
Its been a funny old month or so. Someone mentioned positive mental attitude on here - can't find the post. I always try to remind myself, positivity is a choice. Absolutely nothing wrong with a mighty good whinge or a cry to get it out of your system, but the main thing is getting back on your feet afterwards £10 a day 2017 - APR £60.12 / MAR £82.24 / FEB £142.82 / JAN £241.240 -

I check sold listings for ideas of prices and do same as you part from description. as I do a lot on my phone I find it difficult to copy and paste.0 -

Thanks, Aesop:T. Yes, it was me who mentioned it today (others probably have at other times too) as I was congratulating Lynne on hers when she's had so may setbacks this year. I'm really determined to rediscover mine if I can remember where I saw it last;)
I'm on an Emergency Fund Challenge where the OP has had some of the worst luck possible this past few years yet she still keeps smiling through and giving the rest of us a boost. She's vowed to put all last year's awful events behind her and has named 2017 as The Year of Possibilities. I love that idea and will certainly drink to that:beer:0 -
