I like this thread! Am a single mum to a teen answer some of the ideas here are a way of life for me. Always looking for ways to boost cash so have decided a car boot is a good idea for us to become clutter free. I use Qmee quite a lot during work breaks so as to gain a bit, it's normally about 40p per survey but they soon add up. As for the grocery shopping, I always keep my carriers in the boot with a trolley coin for Aldi ☺0

Interesting challenge. How about Cash only week
I started doing this a couple of years ago in that I worked out I needed £70 a week in cash for food shopping and stuck to this - once the cash was gone that was it for that week. The unexpected off shoot form this was that I suddenly had a lot of loose change which I stared putting into different pots - coppers in over size whiskey bottle, 20p box, a £2 box, a 5p tin,a picture 50p tin and a pound coin with dragons on box. When the various money boxes/tins are full they are emptied counted and bagged up.Then I either pay towards a CC or it goes towards a purchase such as new lap top paid for by saving £2 coins - who knew that money box held over £300 in £2 coins:eek: Another 'happy discovery' was that in among my picture 50p's I had 3 rare coins and netted almost £150 selling them:T
Needless to say I now only use cash for grocery buying - spend a lot less too;)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I love your list AliWali!
I think everyone can pick ideas or do their own, I might edit the first post to include the list and the participants if you like
I'll try to add new ideas from the weekly mails too so there are new things being added.
I did have an unscheduled extra brand reduction opportunity this week when I ended up with a horrid cold! Own-brand cold and flu meds are definitely cheaper and when you are DYYYYYYIIIINNNNGGG you don't care what's on the box lol So Week 1 for me was definitely Down Branding!
I also found a lovely hairdresser - I'll give her another couple of tries before I make my mind up for definite but I think over all there will be a saving hehehe More importantly she can fit me in easier than T&G where I have to try and line up both a colourist and a hairdresser I like at the same time which trust me is harder than it sounds when you work full time!!!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more!
