Ordered cooker online but want to return after use

Hi all,
Some advice needed please!
I ordered a gas cooker online just short of a month ago and have been using it since. But whenever I put pans on the hob they slide around everywhere and is a massive danger obviously.
I'm unsure as to whether I can claim this as a fault with the cooker and ask the company to exchange for another model. Some clarification would be lovely is anyone can help me!
Thanks!

Get a spirit level and check that it's actually level. Every large kitchen appliance I have - cooker included - have feet/legs which can be adjusted.0

Can you tell us the make and model of the cooker so we can get an idea of what it looks like and how's it made?
Personally I don't see a fault here so you will have no rights to return it I'm afraid. Could it be your cookware that's the problem?0 -
If it's on a flat level surface then what you are saying is pretty much impossible, in fact it would have to be really wonky for that to happen.
I now sometimes find it hard to tell who's serious and who's winding the forum up tbh.0 -
Sounds to me like you're using the wrong size pan for the burner location.0

If it is a fault, which seems most unlikely, then the retailer can repair, replace or refund, at their discretion. There's no legal right to return it just because you've used it for a month and then changed your mind, unless such a right exists under the retailer's own returns policy.
It's now only worth it's second hand value.
Who installed it?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I think you need to be calling back whoever installed it, not looking for the retailer to replace it...Bris wrote:I now sometimes find it hard to tell who's serious and who's winding the forum up tbh.0 -

Who installed it?
Not necessarily. If it is faulty, within the first 30 days, OP can choose to reject for a full refund without requiring to give the trader an opportunity to repair or replace.0 -

Interesting that the OP mentions using it for just short of those thirty days...0 -
True - I was merely pointing out the error by that poster.
The fact that the OP wants a replacement means the STRR not relevant anyway.
OP - we need more info.
1) who installed - seller (or someone engaged by seller) or someone else that you arranged?
2) is the fault with the product or with the install? (May not be clear yet)
3) when was it delivered?0 -
Wow! A lot of cynicism here and judgement here! But thank you to those who responded and didn't feel it necessary to put forward opinions without knowing the intention of the post.
But anyhow, the cooker was installed by a certified gas engineer. I have checked the cooker and it is level. The issue I have (which didn't seem so much of a problem before until it kept happening every time I put a pan on the hob) is that they sometimes tilt because the pan supports do not seem to be even. This is something I would have only found out after using. I have tried all different sizes of cookware and they all do the same thing. The outer edges of the pan support seems to be millimetres shorted than the inner edges. This may be the actual design but it is something I am not too happy about.
Do I have any rights in this case as I am not happy with the product?
I'm guessing the manufacturer/retailer wouldn't see this as a fault?
I ordered the cooker on 2nd December and took delivery for it on 6th December.0
