I switched to Scottish Power on 15th Feb on the June 2018v2 Fix but got an email yesterday saying my switch has been declined
Rang scottish power and they havent received details of my switch from MSE Cheap energy club and that one has finished now (new fix is till april and is more expensive)
Looking for other deals now but not sure who to go with!
I am a little confused. How can SP say that your switch has been declined if they knew nothing about it? Are you sure that it isn't your present supplier that has blocked the switch? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Who sent you the email that your switch request has been declined?
Why was it declined?
What have you done since to avoid a similar switch attempt being declined?0 -
I have been on the BG collection Feb fix but have unfortunately missed the EDF fix. I'm now looking for a new tariff. On the BG standard rate my projected spend for dual fuel is 960.65. I could save approx 70 a year with EDF. However, has anyone changed to the BG Home Energy Free time? Just wondering if i save all my washing/drying to either a saturday/sunday this would make a substantial saving?0

Back in July 2016, when that tariff was launched... Martin Lewis has warned customers the new tariff is far from the best energy deal currently available....0 -
It was an email from the MSE Energy club that I found out I was declined
I then rang Scottish Power who said they hadnt recieved anything about switching to them from me (or the energy club)Make £10 a day Challenge June - £1700 -

You may not have understood how price comparison websites fit into the greater scheme of things. You apply via MSE Cheap Energy Club to switch to a supplier. All that the Cheap Energy Club does is pass your details on to that supplier for a fee. The supplier then manages all aspects of the switch. It notifies you that it has received your request and it asks for meter readings just prior to the date when your supply actually transfers to them. If you hear nothing within a couple of days, your first port of call should be the supplier. MSE Cheap Energy Club does not monitor how your switch is progressing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I do not believe MSE CEC sends out such emails.
I suggest you contact the CEC (details in the contacts section below) to verify the email actually came from them. I think you will find it does not, which will then raise the question how did someone else get your personal details
Good luck!0
