Today has been a good day, I was asleep by 8.30 last night so have felt bright as a button all day today. I've got all but one thing crossed off my to do list at work today, have come home and got on with dinner which is cooking away nicely (mulled lamb). Now I may have a bit of a clean up so there's not so much at the weekend, ds is at his Dads this weekend and I'm planning on some more packing and garage sorting, along with more trips to the tip / charity shop.

It has, so far, been a nsd, although we need milk, so £1 or so will be spent there. The fridge is looking empty again so I will need to sort something for dinner tomorrow (maybe something from the freezer), then I can have the weekly shop delivered on sunday ready for the week ahead.

    And it's the weekend :D
Ds is shattered after a week back at school and is happily vegging on the sofa watching tv under a blanket.

I defrosted some chicken for dinner but it smells rank so I have binned it, so not sure what we will be having instead yet :(

This weekend will involve walking (not many steps done so far this week), tidying / cleaning and packing. Hopefully not too much money spending going on either ;)

Morning all, £15 profit from a matched bet this morning :T which was a nice way to start the weekend.

Ds has done his paper-round and I've transferred £10 of his wages into his savings account for him. He's off to his Dads anytime soon, then I need to crack on. I'm going to do some baking this weekend too, I have loads of baking stuff that won't get used up otherwise, and ds and I will certainly eat cakes :o

I popped to the shops and got some new trackies, (£25), my old ones were covered in paint from decorating and desperately needed replacing.

I also got a few bits and pieces from tesco (£10) and am now looking forward to a day of sorting indoors, clearing the washing and general housework, gutting ds bedroom, updating my Spotify downloads and enjoying some footie :)

Morning all, I've made some flapjacks this morning and attempted a ginger cake, but got half way through it and realised I must have binned the ground ginger last time I culled the cupboards. A quick trip to the local shop with the dog and they didn't have any either, so I've chucked in some cinnamon and nutmeg instead and hopefully it will still taste spicy :o

So, while that is in the oven I have tidied up the kitchen, I have a couple of bin bags to go to the tip later and the bathroom is desperate for a good clean.

Last night I did finally gut the wooden drawers in the lounge, there are 4 drawers and 2 are now totally empty (I was in a ruthless mood ;)), the other two only have few bits and pieces in them. One of them was full of stuff for the dog - loads of his socks (he only likes football/rugby socks as they are better for pulling), half eaten chewsticks, pooh bags, brushes etc. It has been condensed to a sensible amount now :)

And I've realised my fitbit died at some point yesterday :( Normally I get an email to let me know it's running out of battery but I didn't get one :(

Tesco shopping all put away - £42 this week :money: Only one substitution, I ordered chipolatas to have with the roast chicken and they've sent me the biggest fattest sausages I've ever seen in my life! They will be kept for a toad in the hole instead ;)

Ds is home and we have started sorting through his room, we've done half of his storage unit so far and there's plenty more for the tip. I have already done one trip this morning, I can only go at weekends though as they open 10-4 in the winter during the week so I am at work. Hopefully we'll keep plodding through some more and clear some more stuff today.

We've loaded the car up and taken a load from our garage round to Mums garage. It has hardly made a dent in the garage but at least I know I've made a start on moving stuff. Her garage isn't hugely secure but I'm only moving dull garage stuff like old plant pots, the Christmas tree holder, some garden tools and various bits and pieces that really have no value. It means I don't have to pay to store it and also once we've moved in we can just walk round the corner to collect it from Mums :D

I also got £10 from my aunt today for her train ticket when we went to my brothers for Christmas, so that will be added to the savings pot. When we were doing ds room earlier he found a £10 note in an old wallet he doesn't use anymore, so that will be put in his savings too.

Chicken is in the oven now, ds is loving the flapjacks :) and I might do some more pottering and packing with one eye on the FA cup game on BBC :)

So the estate agent has phoned tonight to say the vendor has had an offer accepted and it's a house where the sale had previously fallen through, so the chain is complete and has progressed quite well apparently :D

Fingers crossed, I might be moving house before too long - I need to start making some more pennies :D:D:D
