Fab news Chrissy, good to know that you are all good after an MOT.

Your daughters dress sounds lovely.I know what you mean about the bra situation.DD2 is very difficult with clothes full stop. She has lots of clothes but will only wear a few of them.Bras are a nightmare!

Pk ,that is so cute that your little boy loves washing machines. He will love one of his very own.

Thank you for asking ,the cream is working. No soreness now, just a sort of tough patch of skin.

DD1 came today. She took some pics of the garden in the pouring rain but couldn't be bothered to put them on for me. It looks so different in a photo, not as good as real life. All the hours I have spent making this garden it should look gold plated.

We went shopping, she bought lots of clothes and I got DD2 some flip flops as hers broke when she went camping, and a plant which I hid in the garden before we came in the house,oh and a sack of gravel.

It is difficult with dogs in gardens.I dont know what the answer is there unless you can get dog friendly weed killer.Whatever you need in a garden its an expensive hobby.

    Vx

There's one consolation with this awful 'summer' weather- we don't have to water our gardens!

Vulpix- glad the cream is working x
Chrissy- did you sleep better last night knowing everything is OK?
PK- my DS used to love vacuum cleaners (he still does at 27!) he says he finds it relaxing to vacuum. I remember I had a toy washing machine when I was little- apparently mom and dad bought it for me after they found me washing my dolls clothes in the toilet (funnily enough I don't remember that particular episode- I wonder why?!)
046- did the roofer get much (any) work done yesterday?
    Free- are you OK?

PK29= Sounds like you all had a lovely day yesterday. Love that wiggle loves washing machines x
Vulpix-Glad to hear the cream is working. You too sound like you had a lovely day. Love that you hid the plant in the garden lol
Chrissy- Amazing news! Glad to hear you are ok x
Murie- The roofer got nothing done yesterday and to be fair it did not stop raining all day. He was here at 8am and has pulled the chimney down already It is light raining so he probably will not get much else done but at least it is a start. It is forecast rain ALL WEEK!! AAARGH. It would be glorious if we werent having our roof done!!

The joiner/electrician came and gave us a fabulous price to get the loft electrics finished, to create some storage space in the eaves and to put some fireproof walls in eaves too. Also a little extra floorboard and plasterboard work too. He is booked in for 24th June.
Only thing is myself and DH cannot have a conversation about the work without it resulting in an row. Last night resulted in us retreating to our own space and ignoring each other all evening.( I went to bed) It was only 6.45pm so I sat and watched youtube videos, went on ebay and alibaba express.

0462 it's just stress. It is a stressful business having work done on the house whilst you are living in it.In a months time it should be all done and you will have a bigger house:j

Winter weather here today.Going for a haircut at a new hairdresser. The other one just stopped styling it and only trimmed it iykwim. It has no shape at the moment.

Murie hahahahaha that is hilarious. What an inventive little girl you were. You still are with all your impressive makes and "do's".

Wet and windy here today, although I think Wiggle saw it as a bit of an adventure running from the car into nursery this morning! We’re having some creaky floorboards looked at today and my goodness it sounds like they’re tearing the house apart! I haven’t been upstairs to have a look yet.

I’m feeling productive this morning though, have done a load of washing, put new sheets on our bed, made cheese and leek muffins and got a batch of turkey Bolognese simmering on the hob. In my last pregnancy I couldn’t bear to cook anything so didn’t batch any food for the freezer, however this time I’ve found I can make a few things so have been trying to batch each week so that we’ve got a bit of food to keep us going in the early weeks. I think we lived off M&S ready meals last time so I’m pleased we’ll have some healthier home cooked meals especially with Wiggle eating it too. I’m going to put my feet up for a bit now, do my budget and have a look at my Christmas spreadsheet!

CHRISSYG that’s great news, what a relief for you.

vulpix I’m really happy to hear the cream is working for you. Yes I just need to train Wiggle in doing the washing now – which includes drying and putting away! :p

murie ha ha that made me laugh! Very resourceful though. Thankfully I haven’t had anything like that but Wiggle is forever taking my tea towels to put in the washing machine! He has a toy Dyson and toy Henry that he takes everywhere. He is not interested in any toys unless they are a replica of a household appliance!

04624181 oh no, there’s nothing worse when you can’t agree on things with your partner! When it comes to big house changes you want to get it right so making decisions feels more stressful.

    good morning all,

Well the roofer has pulled chimney down and has been here since 7.30am. the roof has been officially started! DH and I are still not talking. He went out last night so have hardly seen him so that makes it easier for me not to rip his head off lol.
Plasterer is coming this morning, then we off out with a friend and her son to a play centre and have some lunch out. Then retail therapy!! smiggle has a sale on, daughter loves stationary stuff, she takes after me, but it is still very expensive in the sale! Was going to get her some bits to put away for christmas but will see how we get on x
    Hope everybody is ok
PK29- Thanks, im sure it will blow over but he is like a bear with a scabby head at the moment. He is normally very relaxed and patient.
Vulpix- Thanks, Im sure it will work itself out, It doesnt help that I am somebody who will talk talk and talk it out lol x He just wanted a row, I didnt even get to finish telling him all the details of the joiners visit. Ah well, im leaving him to it. ROll on next week when im back at work lol
