  • Just having a croissant & coffee with a catch up here. Was at recycling centre at 8, had to queue, but nothing like it will be later, so can't complain. Then picked up some milk & bread at Sainsbury's, desperately needed to put juice in car, so that is all done now. Plan on doing the windows, except I have no idea where I put the Karcher😡, will work around things for now.

Now that I think I can officially say the squatters are gone, I can finally put everything back in the linen cupboard, spare bed room will no longer look a complete pig sty, can then sort out ordering a sofa bed for it. Think I will get a futon, they seem a bit more robust as a bed.

Went to see The Red Shoes last night, not seen a ballet before, but oh my word, it was amazing. I am very lucky because a friend can get tickets at reduced rates, think it cost about £16, for stalls seating. She also gave me my panto tickets :j

Oh well, better show a bit more willing on the cleaning side, see you later:D
A smile costs little but creates much :)

MURIE the footstool sounds really good, I'll try to remember to check IG for the pics. You were very productive on your early morning, I'm impressed.

FREE you've reminded me that I did an Easter tree the past couple of years but I didn't give it a thought this year. Mind you, we're 'chair minding' for DD2 and it's in the space where I usually have a round table with the little tree on so that's my excuse.

MRSI I must confess my enforced early mornings tend to be more like yours than MURIE'S.

GTQ great news that the squatters have finally been evicted and you can feel comfortable again. It's been a long road and you must have been so frustrated by it but your patience has paid off.

Hope you had a fab time at the caravan JENNY, I absolutely love caravans.

Well, we took DGD and her little dog home yesterday so the house is very quiet today. I'm picking up some dresses that I ordered from John Lewis and House of Fraser today - I'm not sure any of them will be any good but they were all online exclusives so I didn't see them when we were looking round the shops. There were some lovely things in Monsoon but they were all in children's sizes! The adult stuff was very uninteresting. Will be trying on later so I'll let you know how it goes. Happy Easter Saturday everyone.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Evening everyone, I hope you are all having a lovely Easter break. We have been quite lazy today, DD1 bought us both a shiny new laptop yesterday in the sales so I finally have a decent working laptop from this century :rotfl::rotfl:

MURIE glad you had a lovely time at the theatre, oh gawd if someone sat next to me doing that I would die. Your chandelier looks fab you are so clever. I cant believe you went out that early in the morning :D Have you decided on your dinner yet?

MRSINVISIBLE aww that tablecloth sounds beautiful, I would love to have a family heirloom like that to bring out year on year

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY glad you had a lovely time at the ballet and at reduced prices, makes it even sweeter doesn't it? That is brilliant you have got rid of your visitors, I might have to get the professionals in, we have an electric trap up there now and it is still running about :mad:

PEPPAPIG I hope the dresses turn out better in real life than online, and you find one you absolutely adore

    Happy Easter to all!!!

Hope everyone has a good day, whether you celebrate it or not x

Just a quick note on the Golden Paste- I have been looking into it for DH and lil sis and have come across some contraindications for those who are on blood pressure medication , antidepressants or insulin so it may be worthwhile having a word with your pharmacist or GP. DH is insulin dependant so I wont be giving him any til he has had a word with the pharmacist. Hopefully it will be OK for him to have but don't want to upset his medication or its effects.

  • Hi all, I’m back. I had a few health issues that knocked me for six just before Christmas last year and tbh only now getting back into the swing of things. My life has taken on a whole new perspective and finally starting to be content.
Ive managed to keep in the loop so to say with some of you on Instagram and by text and its been really uplifting at times knowing theres a friendly message from you all.
We plan to relocate to midlands/north of the country from down here in the south but we are not putting a timescale on it but much sooner rather than later.
Its a lovely day out there today, I have all the doors and windows open, mainly because that way I cannot see the dust and window smears magnified in the sunshine.
So anyway, I am back and thank you special ones for keeping me going over the past months xx

Pinksteps- good to see you back and posting! Things are on the 'up' now x. I would open all the windows to let in Spring, but I don't fancy the accompanying frostbite-even though the sun is shining its blooming cold!!
