Welcome in, Pink giraffe, (you can have no idea of the mental image you have created for me!)
Vulpix, 7 hours!!!!!! ye gods and little fishes, no wonder you are done in! and hard landscaping, wow, do you rent yourself out? (just wondering,).
Seriously, you are to be congratulated. I did 2x2 hours of just dealing with borders, planting perennials and edging the grass, and was jiggered.
Peppa, moving house is so exciting, good that you are cs ing as you go.
Well, today DGS is going clay pigeon shooting with his GF, hmm how do you cook clay pigeons? He has a cold and asked me if he was old enough for man flu yet, l said no, but l can see the transmutation.
Blue sky out there, best get going.0 -
Morning. The thread is quiet, but I don't post much as nothing much is happening in my life. Maybe it's best that way, no dramas lol.
My week is always the same, kids to school, me to work, takes girls to their highland dance classes on tue and thu nights, DS to guitar lessons on a wed, then nearly always a dance comp on one of the weekend days. Yesterday the girls were dancing. My little one (5) got 2x1sts and 2x2nds and my eldest (11)won her group, so came away with 2 lovely trophies.
I don't have time for much else. The girls practice at home in the nights nit at class. I go to Tesco, very boring really lol.
Today I plan to garden. It's looking like a nice day. I have seedlings in the greenhouse to check on. I did plant some outside in pots too, but we have had 2 nights of frost. I should have covered them in fleece.
Right now it's time for coffee and watch some marathon footage.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
:bdaycake: Happy birthday quidsy. :bdaycake: Hope that you have a lovely day!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone
I'm feeling a bit Monday-blah today, but it's only a 3-day week for me, hurray!
Ordered some Christmas cross-stitch kits at the weekend, should be here in a couple of days so I can get on with some card-making. Current plan is to get some little tree dec frames (can't think what they are called) to give with the cards so people can continue using them.
So much talk of gardening, I really need to get mine sorted - next door was empty last year and they had bindweed which spread faster than we could get rid, so allll my stuff died0 -
Welcome Pink Giraffe!
I must confess to not posting lately as I don't feel like I have much to say and like others my daily life is sleep, work, cook, sleep which is as boring in reality as it sounds on the page!
Have got a few things bought already that have long dates on them (or no dates at all) and a couple of things for the collection that my work do each Christmas for the local food bank charity for kids toys etc.
I really do need to get out in the garden though..0 -
quick pop in.
picked up a couple of wine / choc gift sets from hb £1.50 instead of £3
wished i got more as forgot it was mum and friends bday ! so didn't stay long in the stash.
house is coming along nicely.
tiler due to do bathroom soon and we having new fencing ( managed to save on both jobs - oh is labouring and used some contacts for bits at trade price )0 -
Lets try again.
So here we are racing towards May and the weather is picking up,yay.
Took my Mum out for a drive yesterday to look at all the ickle baby baa lambs.Hospital today.
Nic,calm is good, even boring is good.I magnify stuff to ridiculous proportions sometimes.Wish i didn't. Everything is usually ok in the end.
We all seem to be thinking about gardening at the moment.Yes i would love to do anyone's garden.Any excuse to not do housework or my nemesis, decorating. When the planting has taken off in my new garden I will post a pic,I have been talking about it for 9 months.
Now my garden will only need maintenance, well apart from the temporary repairs needed to the wall which supports the drive,I will turn myself towards making small Christmas stockings.
For those who don't know my children are 26,24 and by Christmas 16.I have decided that they will get a stocking of bits and money from now on.The eldest two have partners too.I got some material from Bury market a while ago and made one stocking for the craft challenge on here.I have been collecting old brooches from charity shops to decorate them with.I have my Christmas quilt to finish too.
This week i need to do some cleaning, nooooooooooooooooooooooo and inside windows.Bet i find something better to do.
Exciting times for you Peppa, would love to see yours n GD's dresses.
