  • Yesterday I'd planned to decorate the tree, as we brought it in the morning, but was plagued by a really bad head all day. After dragging myself around Tescos, I took some more painkillers and collapsed into bed, but even that didn't help. Thankfully, I feel quite a bit better now, still slightly niggly, but should hopefully be able to have a fully festive day of decorating the tree and wrapping presents. It's snowed quite heavily overnight and is still snowing now. The poor cat is not keen - he was desperate to go out, but was out for all of about 10 seconds before coming back in.
  • The decorations are done!! (except for the tree the kids do when they get here.) All the presents bought have been wrapped. (still need to buy more, as the nibs have got very little from me so far, but as l don't know what they want...). Santa suit is knitted and littlie looks so cute in it. Even the hampers are finished. House is like a padding can, so today will be a clean it up and close the door on it day, and then do hand delivery cards. This coming week will be devoted to getting the food shopping done and plan the vegan recipes, then of Friday..... ta da, the family arrive from China!!! yaaaay.
I am out to lunch with big bro and DDSIL, Monday, have DGN all day Tuesday, Her Christmas performance at nursery on Wednesday, (bring a big hankie), so it will be a crazy time in Chez lnvis.
Sorry to hear all the bad backs and bugs, broken pottery and stuff, hope every thing gets better soon, and the mojo is put back where it belongs.

We have snow! Quite thick after snow overnight and still going strong. Don't have to go anywhere so it's lovely for me. Keep snug everyone.

MRSINVISIBLE I've got DGD's Christmas show on Tuesday and DGS's nativity on Wednesday so an emotional week. Hope you have a fab time at yours.

FREE good on you, enjoy that hot chocolate. I'm also wishing I could slow things down, after so much anticipation the time is rushing past now and I don't want it to be over too quickly.

VULPIX I got rid of quite a few decs last year and this year I've really focussed on the two trees and the new white twig tree with just a few other pieces out. I'm really pleased with the big tissue open out balks that I bought though, they're simple but quite effective.

MURIE have a fabulous festive time in Prague.

    Yay it worked!

    Two tips:
    1. Open an account before you upload - if you do it the other way around you'll have to upload twice.
    2. If you're on an iPad you'll need to tap on the pic you want after they're uploaded then select 'share' then it'll let you choose which link you want - tap the little icon at the end of the one you want and it'll copy the whole thing.

Thanks STOKIE, I'm on a roll, stand by for more pics!

Ha ha STOKIE, think it was more me being dim and not being able to find my pics so I opened an account. It's really easy to use though so thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I'd never have just stumbled across the site.

Just posting the link to the tree skirt instructions I followed, as they were good and I'm really pleased with the finished skirt:
