Oh no! so many poorly people!
stay warm everyone! (especially with this storm battering the west side of us). Best thing I ever found for mucusy coughs was home made honey and lemon in hot water, and randomly, vicks rubbed on your feet then put your socks on, plus put some on your chest too lol.
Ahh freespirit, I am here suffering along with you in the back pain departmentI have some unknown auto immune disease and it causes havok with my back and gives me alot of sciatica too, currently walking like john wayne as everything in the mid section just aches and wont free up today!
Had a look in my christmas stash and, yup, found things that were not on the list :rotfl: thankfully I did know who they were for but my god! I really need to do some wrapping
We are finally off to a christmas market! after much considering, cajoling and a teeny tiny bit of despair, we have booked train tickets for all of us and are going to spend a lovely day walking round the christmas market, having lunch and generally doing a bit of sight seeing round the big smokeI am thoroughly looking forward too it as I have wanted to go to a proper christmas market for years and never got there!
ooo its lovely isn't it LMG, i'm again sat next to my tree with the lights on, seriously considering changing the setting so they twinklemanaged to go to 2 supermarkets today and not buy any tree chocolates in either
might have to open the quality streets and tie string on them at this rate!

Hi all,
I've had a couple of days leave to get the rest of the presents bought. Unfortunately things didn't go to plan yesterday as DS2 and DH were also off and came shopping with me! I had to sneak off and do some bits on my own. Today DS2 and DD were off school but I left them at home (they are 13 and 16) as I had to take the dog to the groomers and then went to the local large mall. It was packed, as expected and I came over a bit weird in John Lewis. A nice guy asked if I was okay bless him. I think I just needed tea and a sit down!
I'm on here to admit I have busted the budget. We save monthly for Christmas and I allocate an amount to each person but despite getting some early deals, I have gone over. We had some good news this morning in that DH is being made perm after his 8 month contract is up on 31st Dec. Prior to this he was out of work for 14 months, got depressed, we used all our savings trying to stay afloat and not lose the house. During this time we also lost our nephew, which I mentioned here before. So this is massive news for us and we are so relieved. Sorry to hijack the thread but I'll admit to splashing a few extra quid today than I had planned to!
Tree is up and needs presents around it, so the plan is to do some wrapping tomorrow
Have a good evening all and get well soon to all the poorlies x

That's great news COXY I'm really pleased for you having a bit of financial security brings so much peace of mind and I'm sure you can be forgiven your overspend.
Ouch FREE I feel for you with your back, pain really drags you down but I'm also here to give you a gentle kick (you know where lol) - get watching a Christmas film Mrs or at least have some hot chocolate! You never know, it might even help and we can't have our FREE without any Christmas mojo.
VULPIX Chatsworth sounds fabulous, I'm very envious. I always think about going to somewhere splendid like that but never actually do it. Maybe I can make it a must do for next year.
I've posted my card swap card today so I'm feeling very efficient. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Coxy I think we are all probably guilty of smashing the budget - think you are quite entitled to knowing you are getting back on your feet altogether. I am exactly the same, save every month and give a budget to everyone but can never help myself, I am always over.
Were meant to be going to a local Christmas fair today, it isn't walking distance though and it has snowed more overnight so think we will end up staying in and doing the tree. Other half is still asleep :rotfl: although to be fair we haven't had a lie in for ages ... I have been wide awake for ages though chatting to other half's son who accidentally text me a message meant for his girlfriend. Gave me a giggle anyway bless him.
Hope everyone has a great day£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -
Hi took advice and bought plain white dinner set from next and will tart it up as I still have gold charger plates and gold cutlery.
Hoping the house clearance people will be here next week and a quick clean will try and get the tree up. Still not registered with a new GP yet, so that’s a priority move after the weekend.
So pleased after everything that we have moved. One huge difference is the air, it’s lovely to go into the garden albeit cold and breathe the fresh air. Such a difference from the city fumes we were use to.
A general tidy up today and check over decs for next week. Any good Christmas movies on this weekend? x0 -

I have 3 trees up.I have sold 2 on FB today plus sold some decorations and given some away. I am feeling overwhelmed with it all atm.I think I may have sinusitis or something.
We have snow, more forecast tomorrow. I was home alone tonight and sat with just the tree lights on with big fat snow flakes drifting down outside.
GYD it's great to hear that you are happy with your move.I was only thinking the other day that I would like an all white dinner service.I have had a fit of madness and given DD1 all my Christmas serving dishes etc.I have also given her some decorations and a big blue Denby bowl that I have never used in all the years I have had it.
I was just overwhelmed with the amount of trees and boxes that came out of the loft.A lot less will be going back after Christmas. I havent even unpacked them all yet.
Stokie your room looks just lovely.A Christmas haven. Please will you give a tutorial on how to post a pic?
Free hope youve had a hot chocolate and Christmas film by now.xx

Hi Vulpix as photobucket no longer support free third party hosting I use a site called postimages.org
It should give you two drop down boxes one for size (I select 640 x 480 for message boards)
And a second for expiry period.
It then asks you to select your image
Let it upload and when the preview shows up on your screen with upload completed it gives you a choice of URL links. I copy the one that says thumbnail for forums and then paste it into the reply box here and I get my photo£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -
Evening everyone, have had a lovely afternoon looking after Thumper while DD2 went Christmas shopping in town, he was riding his motorbike up and down the hall 'follow me nana' 'you can go on my tractor' :rotfl: I giggled and said I am too big 'no you arent' so there was I with my walking stick following him up and down pretending that I really wasn't in agony
DD2 said that town was rammed, I'm so glad that this time of year I can just sit back and watch knowing its all done
JAKESMUM oh sorry you are in pain too with your back, I think that is what mine is the Sciatic Nerve but I'm not sure if it is my Fibro playing up as I was hurting all over last night in bed?? I hope you have had a lovely time at the Christmas Market
VULPIX you sound as if you are having a lovely time on all your trips out and about. Glad that you are enjoying yourself.
