    Great news GYD!!!

Cheeky little update whilst I am bunged up with cold, was meant to be getting my tree delivered by a garden centre £45 for a 6ft tree but Aldi have 6 ft trees for £20 so going to try one of those. Will be picking up & decorating tonight.

Card swap details sent! Everyone that has pm'd me that they would like to take part has been sent details of who they are swapping with.

Oakdene- everyone seems to have a nasty cold at the mo (apart from me I am lucky ). I would go with the Aldi one too if its half price!

Murie - yeah its going round work, I've decided to eat a load of oranges today to help shift it... I shall indeed be going with the Aldi one- I will let you all know tonight how it goes.

    Thanks MURIE.

OAKDENE that's a great price for a real tree, we paid £50 at the garden centre the year before last.

  • Thanks for the sorting the card swap Murie.

Oakdene sorry you are full of cold...it's all that kissing ;)

Hope the tree is suitable. Great price.

Need to pop to town soon and try and find a couple of silly things for. Other half's stocking. Also need birthday wrapping paper as it's all Christmas paper in my drawer :rotfl:

Then I might wrap the few bits that I ordered on pay day that arrived as I am slowly (quickly!) running out of spare time.

27 sleeps until Christmas Day. You would never know we are counting in our house - we're just two big kids

Will dig out our advent calendar too and fill the pockets

    Congrats GIYD, happy new home!

Congrats to you too MandCo on your new job

    Stokiebecks, your hamper looks awesome

Peppapig, i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks like that, it was nice to see all the handmade stalls surrounded by people and very few around the two mass produced tables as its so often the other way round :( (I do wonder why these people go to craft fairs to shop if they only want to buy mugs and socks with Marvel characters on them  ).

Had a few more bits picked up this morning as DH managed to talk me into going through the first cupboard under the stairs. Feel like we are actually getting somewhere and DH's momentum is still going (its a very tricky thing, trying to keep DH motivated while not letting him get carried away :rotfl: ) he's now outside taking pictures of the lawn roller, the spare wheelbarrow, a water butt and his uncles old fireplace surround! You never know, we might actually have the garden back as well by christmas :rotfl:

p.s! we can actually get to the tree and decorations in the loft now! :j :j

    Great news GYD :)

Decorating is finally finished so now I have a few days to get the house back together so that I can get the tree etc down from the attic.

I'm having a well deserved day off work tomorrow to go Christmas shopping too, so I'm really starting to feel more & more Christmassy now.

I bought a few small gifts today in Asda while I was getting myself some lunch. Nothing major really, just stocking filler type gifts for my daughters and my Dad, but it's something I can get wrapped & start to put presents under the tree. I love seeing wrapped gifts under the tree, but I only put the presents for the rest of the family. Presents for my daughters and OH come direct from Santa!!
