Hope all is well, Peppa, kept thinking of you, waiting is the worst bit, isn't it? or maybe that's how it is for me because l am so impatient.
Lots more Christmas prep seems to be getting done on here, l must jump back on this bus, and get cracking.
Yes, l stripped it down to the impeller (dishwasher) and could find nothing, the impeller moves freely, so it must be further in. lt isn't the hose either or the outflow, so man cometh tomorrow. Fortunately our local recycling place offers a repair service much cheaper than the manufacturers, and, if it is unrepairable they will take it away for me.
Lovely morning yesterday, with crazy family.
l think l just got the deal of the year, (if it comes off) 2 cabinets from M&Spensive, were £249 each, reduced to £25 each, fingers crossed they don't cancel it.

Kerri love your daughters style.A hot tub is realistic,at least it's not a real unicorn or mermaid.I would love to see a pic of your brows.Frida Kahlo stylee?

Hope you are home soon Peppa.

I knew Jo Malone candles were expensive but had no idea they were that expensive.Gordon Bennet! I am quite pleased with some from the pound shop at the moment.

Everyones plans are taking shape.I had to get all my stash out of the spare room yesterday to rehome it.I found some bargains that I had forgotten about.I think the 4 adult kids are done.Teen daughter just has a few bits but she is easy to buy for.She likes little surprise gifts rather than asking for something.I will wait to see what comes into the shops.
Mr V who is the most selfish man in the world by having a birthday the week before Christmas, has actually given me some ideas. He has a pierced ear and would like a gold earring in the style of a silver one he has,and I bought him a vintage microphone a while back, the type you see in old films.I got a glass dome in ikea the other day and I will get it mounted to fit.It is the only bit of his very large collection of electrical gubbins that I would allow on show in the house. It is quite cool.I am very pleased to even have ideas for him because he just goes and buys something if he wants it.My Mum is easy to buy for, mainly edibles and some toiletries and MIL will be able to eat her weight in chocolate.

It certainly feels autumnal today.I dont want to get out of bed,it's cold.Mind I do have the French doors down stairs wide open. The leather chair I got off ebay despite being washed several times still smells like it lived with someone who smoked a pipe.

    BARGAIN Mrs I !

KERRI I wish we'd done that too. The trouble is the eldest is 21 now so I did think about switching her to 'adult' and in the £10 limit but of course it means the other two older ones (currently 15 and 17 and her brothers) will still need to go on til 21. Could stop the little ones when they get to 18 though because they won't know we carried on longer for the others. It's silly really because the one that's 21 probably has more coming in than we do now I'm not working.

MRSI you're right, I just want to get it over with now even though I'm still secretly hoping someone will come and say it's a mistake and I don't need it at all. ;) Fingers crossed your bargains go through, well spotted.

Ha ha V, I bet MrV doesn't describe his collection as electrical gubbins :D

Just waiting for ten o'clock now, I could murder a cup of tea. Fingers crossed it isn't too painful! See you all later.

The hot tub was her christmas demand this year.

The unicorn was her demand last year which my dad tackled and brought her a giant pink unicorn teddy from wilkinsons that she nows sleep with in bed

And her birthday this year she wanted to be a mermaid so I found a lovely woman on ebay who makes mermaid sets so she now has a simmery pink mermaid tail and a little 2 piece set which she sits in and watches tv!

It has to get easier as they get older surely???

PEPPA - hope your ok. Ive been away a while so not sure entirely whats up but I hope everything goes ok and your on the mend soon.

MURIE - how much for a candle?!?!?!?! Good grief. I get gifted a Yankee candle by my sister in law every year for my birthday and most christmas' - but I am a poundshop buyer on when they are on sale

MrsInvisible - thats a good deal on the cabinets - youll have to let us know if they arrive

MAndCo - hope your head is feeling better - I somehow get migraines without the headache so am being investigated at the minute for my balance disorder - Ive been told its Menieres disease but Im still having tests done.

Kerri - good luck with the sack - Im thinking I might make stockings this year for people. My mIL brought the kids sacks last year that she filled with bits and bobs and I think I might reuse them this year as well.

VULPIX - the gift for hubby sounds fab. I wish my husband would give me any type of hint but hes the same and just buys stuff when he wants/needs it too - making it even harder to pick something!

Tackling the freezer today before a food shop arrives later on. Off to check for codes for the car show tickets so I can get an idea of how much that is going to cost and today in south wales it is very much a cuddle on the sofa, eating c@@p and emptying the V+ box.......and I have veg to use so I am off to make soup and use it up. My mother in law seems to have become a pro at growing courgettes only to realise that her and her husband dont actually like courgettes......so now I am inundated with giant ones!:eek: so any recipes feel free to send them this way!

Have a good day girlies and I will check in later

Sammy - I make this recipe quite a lot and usually use 3-4 decent sized courgettes as they cook down quite a lot due to having a high water content. I also make this one a fair amount - you can put as much courgette as you like and i usually use a mix of pancetta and chorizo for the meat. Of course I also use courgettes with peppers and red onion for roast veggies.

Well it wasn't too bad and I'm ok but still in hospital because they wanted to keep me n another night for observation. I don't actually mind too much, I've got some magazines and my iPad so I'm ok. Hopefully I'll be out tomorrow morning.

I haven't been wasting my time though, I've bought some Cath Kidston crockery bits from a local selling site that I can give for Christmas if they're in as good condition as I think (or keep for me if they're not - win win) and VULPUX you'll be pleased to know I've found the first two properties for my miniature village in the garden! Well it might be a Miniature street or perhaps village green rather than a whole village as we've only got a postage stamp garden now. Even DH liked them so as soon as I get out of here I'll order them - don't really want to do financial things while I'm on a public network.

Ooh SAMMYKAYE I feel for you, Menieres is not nice.

Peppa I am very pleased to hear it wasn't too bad and you will soon be home.I hope you have had a cup of tea by now.Exiting news on the model village front.IF i ever have a lawn again I fancy a set of cricketers.Very kitch.

Sammy and Kerri I am sorry for getting you mixed up.I am thinking that I may have to start taking notes to be able to reply to the thread!

Sammy your daughter sounds cute.As long as she doesn't ask for a baby brother or sister as my cousins kids did once. I hope menieres is ruled out for you Sammy, not nice at all.

House is a tip from decorating the spare room.Ran out of steam yesterday.I miss those days where I would have had it done in a few hours.Must remove stuff from dd's room so she can get in bed tonight.

Craft group this morning, shove stuff back in spare room then sil's Mums funeral. Then drive to Anglesey to collect dd.Never a dull moment.

I am covered in cat flea bites.Visited an old friend on Sunday as her Mum has died and she has a fabric sofa and 3 cats.

Better get up,!!!!!es n stitches starts at 10.

  • Morning campers! What sort of weather are we having at the moment, glad I am going on holidays next week!

    Kerri- eyebrows will be fine.

046 - Fancy doing some decluttering for me please?

GYD - Hope all well with you chicken, we rooting for you here.

Peppa - Glad all looking good for you, hopefully you get to sleep in your own bed tonight.

Murie - That was a shocking sentence, but nothing surprises me now. I used to volunteer with Victim Support, I chose murder & manslaughter as my preferred support, but was trained on almost everything else, I actually found DV cases to be more difficult.

Free - Hope you doing ok

Vulpix - my place needs decorating if you fancy a change of scenery!

Mando - Hope head is ok. I went to see Russell Howard on Saturday in Brighton (luckily discovered on Wednesday that Pride was on so we could work around getting there comfortably). My friend was complaining of a headache on the way home, she suffers from lupus, so used to hearing her complain of pain, this was no worse than usual. Sent her a message Sunday morning and was shocked to get a reply from her DH saying that he had to take her into hospital at 3am as the pain had got worse and she was vomiting. She has been in since! Was actually transferred to St George's yesterday so their neuro team can investigate, all coming clear, but there is definitely something wrong.

In countdown mode for holiday, still trying to pack my 1/2 case v their 1 1/2 cases!

Just found this! This is where I actually grew up, it is a tiny place in west of Ireland. As people had come around the west of the country, didn't see anyone I knew, but my mum was there!

GTQ shame you couldn't see your mum but the video has made me feel all festive. Hope your friend is ok and it isn't anything horrible. Have a lovely holiday.

V another busy day for you, what on earth is the first part of your craft group name that the forum has obliterated it lol? Hope the funeral goes as well as these things can. I'm liking the cricketers idea :D

Well I'm home and the washing is on lol. Nice to be back and looking forward to my own bed but quite nice to have had nothing to do all day but read and find things to buy on line :D
