I'm busy doing nothing!
Else where in the world, it is dark , Fc is on his way in a couple of hours.
Bought cooked chicken, spuds, carrots, will prep and cook after a wander on a very hot beach, exchanging seasonal greeting in various different languages / singing carols in various languages, eat, then Christmas pud and ice cream, no fuss no bother.............no rubbish to watch on Tv

All done and dusted here - we had our Christmas dinner today
Sat on the sofa drinking fizz and wishing I hadn't eaten so much - still got HM Pavlova to eat - maybe later
Tomorrow is Cheese and biscuits and leftover - chilled out watching rubbish TV :TNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
Sitting here with a coffee ... turkey's all cooked/in the fridge; mash is cooked; swede's cooked/mashed; carrot's ready to cook.... and now it's just a big "do nothing" bunch of hours to fill until I can cook dinner tomorrow.
Maybe next year I won't bother with any pre-prep.... it just makes you want the dinner THEN!!!
I've bought no sausage rolls, I've a feeling I might go and hunt those in 10 minutes - and try to buy a plate to put my dinner on. And maybe a glass to drink from (I use mugs and brightly coloured plastic beach beakers usually).0 -
I've got to peel veg and make the trifle ( and find room for it in the fridge!)
Just remembered I need to get a bit of brandy to ignite the Christmas pudding with tomorrow0 -
Just need to make trifle and try to relax now. I've cleaned the house and tried to persuade everyone to keep it tidy. Prepared the veg and piled all the presents in a place the kids won't look this evening ready to transfer them to under the tree once they're asleep. Possibly the last year all three will believe in Santa
I feel like I won't relax until it's all over tomorrow evening but I want to enjoy it too so will try to chill out a bit.0 -
Try to relax PenniesMake£s and enjoy the day.
I've just put profiteroles in the oven, made chocolate sauce and whipped cream now in the fridge in its piping bag. The pigs are rolled and stuffing made, ham cooked earlier with sausage rolls for tonight's dinner.
All that's left is veg prep and cooking the turkey, gravy.
I've just poured myself a glass of wine and taken my pinny off. Hubby has offered to do the washing up.0 -
