What are you doing right NOW to prepare for Christmas?

Have been all around with the vacuum cleaner as DD comes down from London tomorrow and will notice every dust bunny.
The dining table is actually empty for once. It usually holds whatever is the current project and we just eat around it but DH birthday yesterday and Xmas Sunday so I made an effort .
I have just been out to the shed with the boxes of apples that have been living in DD's ex bedroom so she can actually open her cupboards. It does smell nice and appley in there though.

Resting quietly on the sofa, as I overdid it yesterday, going into town with my husband and visiting five establishments to get all our errands done; my health is poor at the best of times, and I'm useless at pacing myself.

In all fairness though, our main celebration was on Wednesday; we're Pagans, and celebrate the Solstice rather than Christmas; so hopefully we shall just have a quiet, peaceful weekend, just the two of us. :o

Ragu for Christmas Eve lasagne in the oven, Turkey collected from the butcher and put into its briny bath in the camping fridge and giblet stock cooling on the side.

Just finishing up on here (honest!) then off to make the stuffing.

    Right now?

I'm on the bus to the pub.
House all cleaned, shopping done. Dinner for tonight all prepped (mince, tatties, turnips, carrots pre-cooked in the slow cooker & taken out of the freezer this morning. To be served in giant yorkshire puddings.

All jobs done, just have to take a few bits out of the freezer tomorrow morning And set the table.
    I'm anally organised. :D

  • having a brew then going to local supermarket to see if anythings reduced
don't fancy my chances really but did well last year, they don't have a regular reducing time (its booths) so usually get nowt but occasionally hit the jackpot
