After sending emails to the wrong people and being re-directed twice I now believe I have contacted the correct ones. I sent them an email describing the treatment I received from the parking firm they employed. I explained as there are no places for the disabled to park near a public school situated on their land and that this is discrimination. I quoted the Equality Act 2010. I explained that I was in the car and the parking man was breaking IPC rules etc. I pointed out that the nearest place to park is 200yrds away across a busy road and felt this was an unreasonable distance to travel to get to the school.
Unfortunately they didn't seem the slightest bit interested and replied they have restrictions in place and as I didn't have a resident or visitor permit that is why I recieved the ticket. They chose to not mention the lack of provision for disabled people. Just suggested I appeal to the parking firm....lol. This is the aftercare firm that the builders told me to contact. So I assume that these own the land as my searches through the archives bring up the builders and this company I was told about. As for the parking firm....I have done nothing now as will not contact PCN again . I will await further advice.0 -
That's fine, you have appealed and you know not to try the kangaroo court of the IAS. So sit tight and you are now at the stage of ignoring debt collector letters (but don't bin them). Come back if you get a solicitor's letter or court claim, we will help with a defence. Don't go paying this bunch of chancers.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I would say the only time the IAS route would be worth using is if the person using it knows exactly what they are doing, either as a demand for a truly independent appeals service that meets or exceeds the ADR regulations, or to generate a ridiculous response.
Read this for starters http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/is-independent-appeal-service-kangaroo.htmlFrom the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
Have had two letters now from TRACE debt recovery. The latter is final demand for money before they contact their solicitors. If they do they say I can no longer pay them and additional costs, solicitors fee and court costs may apply. I am still ignoring them and hope this is correct.0

Yes, ignore.
Worst case scenario would be losing in court at the end and paying the parking charge plus £50 court fees.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, The latest news on this saga is I have received a letter from a solicitors ( Gladstones of Knutsford Cheshire) It is saying that due to the absence of payment they have been instructed to recover £160 . They haven't threatened personally to take me to court, but say their clients may now instruct them to take legal action against me in the County Court. They are saying if a judgement is rendered against me then this will effect my chances of getting credit for 6 years. I know this is to make me worry but as I am currently trying to secure a mortgage I don't want this hassle. I am hoping that your advice still stands as it is the principle. Also I haven't been judged yet. Hope you can put my mind at rest. Thank you I await your reply. daffas0

- receive a court claim and not bother to defend at all, burying your head in the sand!
or
- defend but not bother to submit a witness statement and/or not turn up AND then not bother to pay within 30 days
or
- defend, turn up but lose AND then ALSO not pay within 30 days of the Judge saying so...
Not going to happen, is it?!!
If a person loses here it's extremely rare but they just pay the £150 odd and it's gone, no CCJ, no effect on credit rating. Nowt.
Sounds like the usual Gladstones letter asking for payment to a debt collector...like this pile of drivel mentioned so many times?

Not a Letter before Claim then, such letters as shown/mentioned in those threads, come from a debt collector.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you. I will continue my silence until an actual court headed letter appears to ask me to pay or defend myself . Must admit they are pretty ruthless.0
-
LOL! PCM are ex-clampers, more clueless than ruthless, perhaps:
