If it is 3rd Wednesday after Christmas again it will be 11th, which at a guess is what I would go for. 18th would be same date as their offer changes so extra work load for their staff.

A member of staff in store yesterday said they had been told the warehouse in Nottingham was now empty and all stock was now in stores so only chance of getting anything extra was from other stores that didn't want it.
On the other hand I went to another local store and they had loads of stock still.

It's not always the 3rd Wednesday in January. It's not always the 3rd after Christmas. I have mentioned this before. The way I have been doing it for the past few years is to look at what day 25th December fell on before and then look at the date the corresponding Boots sale fell on. Using this method I've booked January 18th off work.

Stratford upon Avon town centre store had quite a bit left over. I saw several of both S&G and No7 star gifts for those who missed out. Haven't been up to the Maybird store yet though and that's bigger than town centre store

I'm not working so I can do both dates. Hope you've booked the right day off, you'll be disappointed if it's the 11th.

Its a hard one to call this year.

14 Jan 2009 3rd week - counting 1st week which has three January dates
20 Jan 2010 3rd week - not counting 1st week which has two January dates
19 Jan 2011 3rd week - not counting 1st week which has one January date
    18 Jan 2012 3rd week
    16 Jan 2013 3rd week
    15 Jan 2014 3rd week
14 Jan 2015 3rd week - counting 1st week which has three January dates

It was the (kind of) third week in Jan for 7 years.

BUT it changed pattern in 2016 (same/same calendar as 2010):
13 Jan 2016 2nd week - not counting 1st week which has two January dates.

The last same/same calendar year would be 2012 making the predicted date:
    18 Jan 2017 3rd week

But it could be as early as 11 Jan. Best to check if the website crashes at midnight on the 10th :)
The reason this happened was that there was bad weather in December 2009/January 2010, Desparado99 mentions it in the post a few above, so it was delayed by a week and it should have taken place a week earlier on 13th Jan , meaning last year when we again had a Friday December 25th, Boots sale day was on 13th (the one it should have been in back in 2010)

It wouldn't matter. I can use the day off to do something else. Or as I would know a week in advance I could cancel the day off. I've already bought some items I definitely wanted at 50% off. Though it's possible, I've been doing the Boots sale since 2012 and even before that it's never been as early as 11th Jan. :)

I went to the Trafford Centre Store the day after Boxing Day and it seemed to still be fully stocked! Picked up some items that I definitely wanted and was happy to save 50%.

I did see a set of make up brushes that were reduced to £55 that I wouldn't mind getting at 75% off however these are not available online and the Boots local to work never stocked these.
I also visited the Manchester store on New Year's Day and they had virtually nothing left on sale.
I won't be looking again now.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Me and my Mum can't wait for the boots 70% sale this year as usual and have been checking the stock in our local Boots every few days during the Christmas hols. The store near to us is packed with soap and glory and Sanctuary and has lots of bits and bobs that are all well worth the 70% ticket price. :money:

We were looking today and the 70% signs are tucked behind the 50% signs. Reading the small print on the 50% signs it says that the offers started from the 26/12/16-03/01/17. Could this mean that the sale might be tomorrow? Or do Boots do this every year on their signs and we just havnt realised?

    Many thanks.

Also found it hard to find a thread for this year so posted on this one from last year instead. Please post a link for me if there is already a thread for this year :)
