Which is more illegal? Lane Hogging? Or undertaking somebody lane hogging?

Generally I just continue on the (invariably empty) inside lane at the speed limit & if I pass the hogger on the inside then so be it.
Undertaking isn't illegal as such, there isn't a specific offence for it.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

...I used to play a game called orbiting whilst doing a weekly commute at night. You'd always get a middle lane hogger when the motorway was empty. So i would overtake pull across, slow down and then overtake again and see how many times i could do it until they pulled over in to the 1st lane. My record was 16 times on M62 (i got bored). Ive grown up a bit since those days.
I was driving to a business meeting up the M40 towards Warwick with a work colleague. We overtook a car driven by a rather nice looking blonde girl.
My colleague told me to slow down, move over, let her pass and then overtake her again so he could get another look at her.
I did so but quite subtly as I don't think she noticed what we were doing.
When we pulled into the car park and were getting out, guess which car parked next to us. :rotfl:0 -

If its being used to intimidate me to move over then I don't care if its legal or not, I will always move over to allow someone going faster to pass when its legal and safe to do so. If they attempt to do this sooner than I am comfortable with then tough0 -
How do you know that the flashing is being done to intimidate?
The driver in the car behind may simply be flashing their lights to make you aware of their presence thinking that you hadn't seen them.0 -

After all, if you had seen them, surely you would have pulled over to let them pass.
You drive up close behind someone flashing lights its attempted intimidation,
Not if there is cars on the left had side of me,0 -

And what if they flash from some distance away, will you still sit in the outside lane?0 -
I drive with my headlights on at all times (to increase visibility of my car). I have sat at 70mph on the inside lane of a motorway with the car on cruise control and undertaken cars doing 50-60mph in the middle lane of a motorway. No idea why they do it.0
