Why would I? Fast moving traffic is good. The annoyance is when trapped in the fast lane doing 70 and someone behind is charging at you going 80

If you've actually got a licence why did you ask?

Are learners legally banned from the motorway currently? It doesn't hurt for a bit of variation if the instructor is comfortable with them doing 50-70. Obviously you wouldn't want these snails who do 20 in a 30 heading on to the motorway

Well if the third lane is the "fast lane" then obviously going 70mph is too slow considering that 70mph is the speed limit in the "slow lane". :rotfl:

The local motorway police were asked this specific question (scroll down to see the first couple of responses):

"question: who would you pull over, middle lane hogger or someone undertaking a middle lane hogger?"

    CMPG's reply: "hogger"

I also hate those !!!!! in the fast lane who can clearly see there's no easy place for you to move into mid-lane as cars already there but they still refuse to slow down and get right up your backside although you're already at the speed limit
I hate these outside lane bully-boys.
    White van men.
    Reps in their BMWs.

I'm stereotyping because of course it could be someone in a C1 just as easily, but anyway.

I had one guy who nearly caused an accident. I was in the outside lane & there was traffic ahead of me.I was probably doing about 80. I'd left a good distance between me & the car in front.
There were cars on the inside lane & cars in the middle lane. The situation was what it was. Sit it out & wait for space. I couldn't put my foot down else i'd have been in the boot of the car in front.

Then this <insert term here> comes zipping up behind me FLASH FLASH FLASH FLASH for me to get out of the way.

Now i'm not going to be bullied so i wasn't going anywhere.

He gets right up on my bumper. Really really close like if he was sat on the front end he'd probably be able to touch my car kind of close.

Really no need for it at all.
