    Thats good to hear!

My legs are going to go down fighting the last 80 miles... tonights walk flaired up my shins again (probably because I had yesterday off, I always find the first walk after a rest to be painful recently) so ended up slowing right down and cutting short
Perhaps you need to stretch a bit more before and after your walks, I know it helps me.

I agree with Wizard ... specifically do something like eccentric heel dips. Worked wonders for my shins when I first started running.

'Slow' week for me with 56.1 miles, I had 3 days with very few miles while I got my eyes done, I should be getting back up to speed next week though.

On Wednesday, was bang on target.....then the dreaded lurgy struck. Friday was the fifth day in nearly 27 years that I've been off ill. Probably shuffled about three miles since then, mostly yesterday. Going out in the snow with an excitable young giant Schnauzer is going to be fun!

    Old fashioned laziness.

I'm on annual leave for 1 month starting this Wednesday (i.e. ive only got to go to work tomorrow) so I think ive just got lazy knowing I will have no excuses over December.

Ive been fairly good this year with exercising every 3days and taking a day off and not over doing it even when I felt I could push harder.

I did manage a fairly easy 8.5 km run today so I'm hoping the last two weeks was just a blip.

I'm aiming for 45 km this week

    This weeks numbers are:

    55.62 km (roughly 35 miles) :T

Just 30.6miles for me this week.
However ... 2,013.6 miles for the year ... target reached.

    39.5 miles for me
    1959.6 miles total
    40.4 left to go!

All being well, and assuming I can keep the shin splints under control (thanks for the warm up tip by Wizard of Id/indesisiv, seems to be helping - just need to remember to do them! I was very close to calling it quits!) I should be done by the end of next week!
