    Just catching up!

Total so far: 1123.2 (as of Sunday just gone).

Had a bit of a pants week a couple of weeks ago and only managed 16.9. Last week managed 41.2 but this week is off to a slow start due to illness and work.

Reporting in at the end of the 27th week 9 July 2017:

As of midnight Sunday night, I have walked 1598.06 miles putting me 548.12 miles ahead of schedule.

Back in the Middle East and the heat is really cranking up. However, I am still managing to get out in the evening. Just have to carry my own body weight in water to re-hydrate. ;)

  • 41.91 miles to add for last weeks activity.

Coul do with going for a decent walk today but finding it a bit muggy despite no sun. Hate walking when I'm hot. Maybe go later but as Im sharing a bottle of wine with a friend this afternoon......its not likely to happen.;)

I really could not do it, the heat we have here slows me down enough:(.

Had a few really busy weeks with one more to go. When I was younger, I could 15-16 hours back to back and not worry. now 1 x 15 hour day and I need to recuperate:o.

Will do a total at the end of the month.

Well... I have a bit of a disastrous last week....5.13 miles!!!

Thankfully I have the buffer to absorb such a hit. Total 1196.23 - still +80.85 ahead of weekly average.

I could blame work, tiredness, the heat, the wet, or my feet.... but in reality last week I completely dropped the ball and had 0 interest in picking it back up other than a single token effort. This task sounds easy on paper, but in reality, walking almost daily for 12 months is quite a task. I have noticed this thread seems to have got a little quiet as well!

So I decided to have a rest from walking for 9 days! Something I should have done when I was on hol in May really. Looking back at last years tracking however, I did exactly the same but I didn't pick it back up as I had no target.

That and my walking pattern with planned rest days (+/-1 day to account for weather) that I had build early in the year went out of the Windows and I didn't really have a proper rest day. Burn out.

This week seems better so far despite lots of manual labour at work. Managed Monday and Tuesday, day off today and will get back on it Thursday and see where I stand on Sat/Sunday to see if I can slink in another rest day.
