Not starting until 1st, but can I go down for £3,000 for the year. I have really got a handle on things in the final couple of months, and while I may not have come in under budget over 12 months, the amounts got significantly better from August, averaging just £230 a month.

Please put me down for £80 this month. This is my normal budget however I intend to carry using up and running down the freezers as I have been doing for the last two months.

Anything left over at the end of the month will be transferred to the bulk buy fund. I am convinced that I over buy for fear of not having enough food money. This anxiety has dogged me for years and stems from a time of real hardship. I am determined to try and break this habit this year and have persuaded myself that if I have a bulk buy fund I will be able to see that there is enough money. I am aiming to have three months budget £240 in the bank. I know I can do this as the last two months have proved to me. £125 already saved.

  • I'm in again, after a very difficult two months. Please put me down for £250for 2/3 adults and a dog. My daughter eats here two days a week so I'm including her in the challenge this time. She is vegetarian so I'm aiming for two meatless meals a week which should help me to keep costs down. I'm starting on the 31st December and finishing on the 28th January.
We're very well stocked up, and I plan to base most meals on food we already have, including stored allotment produce.
  • Evening all can I be put down for £250 please for January.. I am planning to be quite brutal for a few months to run down all stores in freezer etc.. Many thanks x
Aiming to spend less, want less and need less.
  • I'd like to join for January, starting on the 1st. I'll be reducing my budget to £180 for the month. I'm going below my current budget anyway, but don't want to get over confident.
  • How is it nearly 2017?!! I think I blinked...!

Please can I be put down for £80. This is a reduction, as I really need to get sorted next year and feel like I have some kind of control over my meagre finances!

I'm still working on dec, but will read here too

Hi, can you please put me down for £450 for January. This is a big drop for us but I am hoping to use up a lot of freezer food and storecupboard stuff as well. I am going to knock the takeaways on the head so that will save a fortune too. I also do multiple online shops a week so that will go down to once a week now. Our budget is for 2 adults, 3 teenagers, a dog and a cat.
