  • Leftover Christmas pud is sliced and fried in a little butter on Boxing Day. Naughty but nice served with leftover cream.

PN I love your meal suggestions, they're always so down to earth.

I too love left overs possibly more than Christmas dinner itself, but perhaps that's becase it doesn't come with the stress of cooking and serving others and I can please myself.

I love reaching under the tin foil and picking a few bits n bobs. Bubble n squeak is a fav of mine. Depending on what is left over I might make a curry, or was going to do coronation turkey last year and then ran out of turkey due to aforementioned picking. I'm also quite taken with the idea of doing a pie as I have some ready rolled pastry in the freezer to use.

No Xmas pud or Xmas cake here to use up....I don't like Xmas pud, and as I cook dinner, we don't have it. We do have an Xmas cake from a hamper last year...it may well be in the cupboard next year at this rate. In a few years we'll prob be able to use it as a doorstop :rotfl:

There will be no leftovers for me because there will be no Christmas meal. I just can't be bothered, have had such a horrible time this year I just wish it were over.

Quiche, always have lots of eggs, pastry is easy to make and there's always too much cheese.

Some great ideas on here, thanks everyone and to OP, great idea for a thread. Leftovers seem to be more popular than the main event don't they? We eat a lot of fresh food so at the moment our fridge is full of salad, cheese, cold meats etc. I'm thinking that maybe I should move the feast forward and have left overs on the day! Fancying those curry toasties at the moment! :)

One of my colleagues makes Christmas dinner soup and it comes to work for about a week after Christmas day.
It's all the leftovers from Christmas day whizzed together. That includes the veg, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets. All in gravy.
