I love the leftovers, we get a large turkey and always do (on purpose) too much potato and veg.
We have turkey sandwiches in the evening. Next day we do bubble and squeak. Then we do a big stew which lasts a couple of days.0 -
I've been reading recipes for what looks like a French puff pastry pie - a pithivier. But fancier!
Looks ideal for savoury Xmas leftovers.0 -
Sainsburys used to do a Scottish dish, I may have got this wrong called rumbledethumps, it was gorgeous.
It was a bit like bubble and squeak but it had cheese in it. I will try to find a recipe.

I've boxed and frozen a few Xmas dinner meals for later, but have a lot of stuffing left. This year I did a sausagemeat, sage and onion on. It's very rich, fatty and sagey.
What else can I do with it as I don't fancy making a puff pie pastry thing with it. I've kept out some turkey, still have the ham on the go and the usual ingredients in fridge / cupboards.
Any ideas?0 -

Mix with breadcrumbs/ egg/ spring onions/ grated carrot/ mince if you have it and bake gently into a meatloaf thing. Eat hot with chips and ketchup or cold in sarnies or with coleslaw. Yum!They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -
Thanks that's a great idea.
I'd thought of rolling it into meatballs to have with tomato sauce and pasta but it is very sagey!0 -
