Is Amazon Prime worth having?
What do you actually get with it?

My DH reckons it is worth having for The Grand Tour alone.
I have got used to Prime delivery.
It is still a 'nice to have' as far as I am concerned. I would quickly adapt to not having it.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

We have had Prime since it's inception. In a first world sense, we couldn't do without it.
For us, it's the next day delivery, prime video (streaming of tv shows and movies), early access to special deals, kindle lending library (one free book a month), family - meaning I can share our membership with family members living elsewhere.
There are other benefits, but we don't use Amazon Pantry or the special offer on nappies, music or prime photos.

You can pay monthly if you want to give it a short trial, there are usually free 30 day trials around or if you are a student you get special rates for a slimmer version.0 -
I wouldn't want to be without mine either. I have fire sticks on a couple of the TVs and watch programmes like Lucifer, my OH couldn't be without his Ability to watch The Grand Tour either.
I can order items and know that most of the time I get them next day. On Friday for instance my son's laptop charger stopped working so he ordered a replacement using Prime and it arrived next day. I also very often use the slower delivery option and get a £1 Amazon kindle credit as I read and buy a lot of books.

I've had Prime more or less since it was introduced. We used to live in a very rural location, and orders still came the next day with either DPD or Royal Mail.
The next day delivery is useful, but between my husband and myself, we do switch to the No Rush Delivery option quite a lot for the £1 digital credit. He's a big reader, and uses his for Kindle books. I'm a music fan, so I spend mine on their MP3 store. I'd like to think that we receive our annual subscription fee back in digital credit alone :rotfl:
Very rarely do I have reason to complain, but when I do, they seem quite keen to offer me an extra month of Prime for free as an apology, which makes it better value

Had amazon prime for quite a while, never paid, just sign up for a free trial every month0

I think it really depends on how much you use Amazon. If you buy regularly from them it would be worth it. We keep considering it but we tend to wait until we have enough of an order to get free delivery for spending over £20.
There are other benefits like the video, music etc.... You can always take a 28 day free trial to see if it something you think it is worth paying for.0 -
Don't use it. Needed something quick the other day and clicked the trial, item arrived with free delivery and then a few days later they said my prime was cancelled because you can't pay for it with a pre-payment card which mine was.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise.
