Why are leavers so angry

The use of the term Remoaner is indicative of the hateful attitudes that are at play here.
It is far less hateful that those remain voters who incorrectly claim that everyone who voted leave is either a) thick b) racist or c) thick and racist.
Sorry, but the most disgusting comments that have come to fore in the past six months have overwhelmingly come from remain voters, including the recent Twitter trend of laughing at a report that shows the number of elderly people that have died since June and claiming that is a good thing because it reduces the number of people who voted leave.0 -
I think youth complaining about a decision made by the elderly which won't actually affect said elderly is fair enough though. They feel (quite rightly) shafted.0

Although the could have helped their cause if young people had actually bothered to vote. The under 25s are the most pro-EU but the least likely to vote. By contrast the over 65s were the most pro-Leave and most likely to turn out.0 -

They're as bad as each other. There are regular posters on here who claim they've been called racists when they haven't.
Remain supporting MPs particularly females have had rape and death threats made against them for example
Both sides sets of lies, and there are many big ones will be coming home to roost quite soon.0 -

Funny way of looking at things - Would this not rather indicate that a whole lot of lemmings were following one idiot?0 -
Why would I be angry; I've had a lovely session down the pub with my union jack tattooed mates, and am just about to put on a Bernard Manning DVD. Will take my Staffies, Tyson & Fukker, out for a walk later. They are an EYESORES!!!!0

Hhmm, interesting how the Independent choose to interpret these figures as being against EU migrants.
No mention of Islamophobia?
No mention of the attacks on various mosques here; are people's memories really supposed to be so short?
No mention of these following the terrorist attacks in France?Hate crimes against Muslims in London have risen by 70% in the past year, according to Met Police statistics.
Figures for the 12 months up to July showed 816 Islamophobic crimes, compared with 478 for the previous 12-month period. The annual survey by the anti-Muslim hate monitoring group Tell MAMA found a 326 per cent rise in incidents last year, while the Muslim Council of Britain group of mosques said it had compiled a dossier of 100 hate crimes over the weekend alone.
Besides which, the following quote from the OP's link clearly states:A large part of this increase is driven by better police reporting and support systems giving victims the confidence to speak up and get help
Yet another peurile attempt to prolong Project Fear then.0 -

Little Englanders want England to be more little.
Oh dear, Toastie has been indulging in a pastime other than formulating hate [STRIKE]mail[/STRIKE] posts.
He has been reading The Independent.
You should note yet again "according to a report".
From The Guardian.
Due to be published "in full" in 2017 - I wonder why the wait?
May I also suggest reading some of the comments below that article.0 -

It's reasonable to ask today, when the Government has had six months to debate "what's next?", why we are taking nine months.
Allowing for summer and Xmas recess. No where near 6 months.0
