Freedom of Movement is fine with for tourism/business meeting purpose.
Besides that I want same rule for EU/Non-EU citizens that if they want to work here must apply for a work permit.
And no benefits for non-citizens!Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

So you could have two groups of people "non-citizens" who work, pay tax and don't qualify for benefits and "citizens" who don't work but get their benefits paid for by those bloody immigrants.0 -

I am unsure if you are trying to be misleading or dont have a full grasp of statistics.
Hehe. We've done this so many times on this board. It makes no difference. The stats he has used have been used and abused plenty of times, with plenty of people saying the same thing.
And they will be used plenty more times too - and people will same the same thing all over again!0 -

Here's a set of statistics which no honest person could argue with.
100% of people are dishonest from time to time. 50% are dishonest more frequently than the other 50%.0 -
FOM?
A system likely to face further testing from within the Eurozone soon, and another area that may have less significance regarding Brexit than some within these forums believe.
Austrian intelligence is saying that upwards of 15 million young Africans will be unemployed by 2020 and suggests that many will head towards Europe, further placing strain on the EU.
Please bear in mind that the quotes have been translated. The reaction from Brussels show once again that parts of the Brussels establishment miles to reality bandaged over. "If you have still not understood that the Dublin- System, where the states have to carry the entire load on the external borders, is no longer working in the face of the already existing and still to be expected illegal migration to Europe, unfortunately one is completely at the wood way, "said Doskozil.
Despite the acnowledged threat of increasing numbers of economic migrants, the EU appears to continue to insist upon processing these inside the countries of arrival which is putting the EU at odds with Austria.
(As well as others, as we know.)
Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselbourn has criticised Austrian proposals to create asylum centres outside of the European Union bloc, saying:that the EU should not be a "fortress of indifference" when "persecuted people knock on our door". The minister is known for his strong support of solidarity with migrants.
In response Social Democrat Hans Peter Doskozil told Bild newspaper:"It's about ending the failed European asylum policies. We must admit to ourselves and be honest that the EU has limited capacity to absorb more migrants. We must stop illegal immigration."0 -
French presidential hopeful Francois Fillon is saying today (Wednesday 11th Jan) that France needs immigration quotas."I want France to be able to decide every year the number of people it can accept on its territory," Fillon told RMC radio and BFM TV ahead of his trip to south-east France.
Francois Fillon is seen as the person most likely to beat Marine Le Pen to the pesidency.
Meantime Le Pen has said that France must leave the EU's border-free area.
So there is more pressure on the EU's FOM than the UK alone.0 -
So I'm a little confused??????????
Our local authority are suggesting that planning permission should be granted for developers to build on Greenbelt Land as we need more homes for the growing population and have no where else to build. Beside the locals coming out to protest (which is understandable). Im a little confused that many of the none locals that have joined the fight are the very same people demanding no change to FOM, in fact the more the merrier???????"I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like his passengers."0
