I had an unplanned expense of £200 this month but thread helping me keep motivated. Rather than just be down £200 I'm trying to sell things to make the money back . Upto £60 cash now . Also cancelled glossy box saving £156 a year, read elec meters and now getting refund of £30 and got magazine for 5 for £5 saving £20 over next 5 months. Really happy with savings made. New motto is if I want to buy something I have to make the money first in addition to normal earnings!

  • Been trying to think of ways to save some more money! Have decided that whatever I don't spend of my daily allocated work food budget, I will put straight aside in to my emergency fund. I have already saved £8.10 in 3 days (plus £5 as I was off sick one day!) :j

Would love to hear if anyone has any other tips?!
